Stood outside the church on city square- what a mess!!!!They have dug the roads up for cycle lanes and looks like nothing is getting finished-city square itself -they have cut down trees to put a wooden pole installation of a wood around the statue of the black prince who now pops up over the top-its not even good and certainly not green-what a tatty mess god knows what visittors to Leeds will think,its rubbish and a waste of trees and money

A fantastic centre piece for the city. There are several stunning statues with interactive QR codes that let you discover parts of the city’s history. A great first site to visit once you leave the train station.

Visited for light night leeds. It was very busy but worth looking at, one of the best exhibitions I would say.

Some weird wooden structure" taking up half the square which didn't need any update anyway.The statues are hidden by it. From a distance I thought (hoped) it was scaffolding but sadly not. Why can't LCC leave things alone and give us our city with no roadworks and unnecessary "improvement" workings making Leeds look like one large building site."

There was a lot of building work going on so I could get the full experience but it looked like a good public square with statues and a mixture of old and new buildings.

Bizarre wood planks hanging around the larger than life statue is the new centerpiece. The new central square is odd at best and weird since the prince on the statue has nothing to do with Leeds?!we watched the new square open to minor fanfare.the statues are interesting around the square but a bit odd too.Worth a walkthrough but don’t linger.

Great Italian piazza inspired City Square with lots of beautiful statues , plenty of free benches to sit and have your lunch or read a book , if you're not scared of huge bands of pigeons that's is. Restaurant bar and grill is a lovely place to sit in summer, pricey but that's what you get for the city centre. Perfect place to wait for your next train or to meet up with friend's.
