Nice clothes in all sizes.

Not the place for me but my wife thinks it's great. Very friendly and helpful staff. She shops there quite often and always finds something nice to wear.

Spent ages in there today and ended up buying 4 tops. I'm on the short side and found a lot of tops were too long, not only the length but in the sleeves too. The assistants were very nice and helpful. There were a lot of glitzy clothes ready for Christmas!

Encountered the most miserable, rude, no sense of humour and slowest person ever to serve me today. Almost 20 minutes to return 4 items. She grunted 'what's the matter with them?' at me and made me feel guilty for returning my items. I'd left one of my bras in amongst the items (somehow got in the bag) and instead of joking about it (or being discreet) she held it up and said loudly 'i don't recognise this item!' sneeringly at me. I left without returning one item and thought it best to return via post. I'd thought this lady was miserable on previous visits but this was the worst yet. Customer training needed immediately. I won't be returning ever. Horrible experience.

I went shopping at Bon Marché because it is promoted as a store that sells clothes for senior and mature in age women. I was surprised to see tops with childish motives like a huge heart printed on the front and stars on the chest of a number of designs. The vast majority of the prints on the fabrics of dresses, shirts and blouses reflected poor taste and out of date depressing designs and colours. The majority of trousers designs are of narrow width at the bottom, which does not cater for full figured ladies, and a good percentage were of bad quality fabrics . Ladies bras were of limited number and mainly of smallish size with minimum variety of colours and designs. The customer service was below standards. While enquiring about trousers, the lady in charge of the store suggested that I should be able to afford +£20 for a pair of trousers if I wanted good quality ones and they are available somewhere else, which I thought is an insult thinking, how did she manage to judge that I can't afford such price, besides she acknowledged that the available trousers are not of top quality because as she explained its due to cost of production and closure of some manufacturers. I corrected the lady that I do not mind a higher price if there are good quality ones, yet she showed no interest in helping as she turned to the young lady at the till and told her that they are expecting to receive a huge new load of clothes and went away. I left without purchasing.

Has a good selection of clothes, pity it's in administration, trying to find someone to buy the whole company, I hope they can otherwise another shop gone from our towns
