AVOID AVOID AVOIDAVOID! AVOID! AVOID! I had a voucher from work which entitled me to a free eye test when spend £50.00 or more on a pair of glasses and on top of that I'll get a 30% discount for the first pair. The Lady said they had an appointment available in approximately 3 hours because of a cancellation. In good faith, I took the appointment and hung around town just for the appointment. What a disappointing day I had. The eye test was quick. The lady who checked my eyes and the optician took my distance glasses to check their strength. Why can't they check my eyes properly like the other practice? They just want to squeeze every penny out of your bank account. I picked a pair of glasses at £65.00 and another pair which are rimless at £159.00. The first pair entitled me to a 30% discount and the second pair with a 50% discount. The sales lady couldn't order my glasses on the computer then she called her manager who told us that I had to pay an extra £70.00 if I wanted those glasses. And now the first pair isn't £65.00 anymore, apparently it isn't their fault that the glasses were mixed up and the actual price is £99.00. A rude salesman was asking me to show him my math skills. What a lot of baloney. I refused to pay the extra and they demanded £35.00 from me for the eye test. I paid and left the shop with a big confusion because the voucher came from my workplace. I will AVOID Vision Express at all costs.

Staff were all very friendly, knowledgeable and explained their procedures clearly. - Sam M was particularly efficient. : )

Second dreadful experience with this store. Ill informed, grasping, money-hungry crooks. Will attempt to squeeze money out of any and every patient, even upselling you advance tests while you're vulnerable, sitting in their (filthy) testing area without your glasses or lenses. If you are in need of informative, humane, insightful healthcare then do yourself a favour and don't go here. Really patronising rude staff too. Awful.

Amazing service - Rachel was amazing super funny and friendly and was happy to find stuff in our budget and not upsell in a negative way, Dominic was really helpful and explained stuff clearly. These two members should definitely be recognised!

Came in for glasses and the really rude member of staff couldn’t get me out the shop quick enough because I only wanted a cheap £25 pair instead of the £500 pair that she was trying to sell me. Really stroppy attitude.

I had the pleasure of being assisted by Michelle, and I am extremely satisfied. She demonstrated a great knowledge of the products and a highly professional approach towards the customers. Arrived 10 minutes late and was told I'd lost the appointment, meanwhile you could be waiting longer than 10 minutes when you're on time! What a farce.
