Knockalla Luxury 4 star accommodation

An amazing house for a family reunion and an 80th birthday celebration. Sean our host couldn’t have been more helpful and accommodating. I visited the house a few months before the trip and was able to do a lot of advance planning. 8 adults and one baby were staying in the 4 large comfortable double rooms but the house is so spacious we were able to plan a wonderful family lunch on the first day for 14. Then the following evening we had 20 people for dinner to celebrate my mother’s 80th birthday, with extra folks arriving later for the cake, bubbles and dancing. Sean organised live music which was excellent and they really got the party started. We were lucky with the weather and loved the wood fired hot tub and the children were the first to try the new zip wire that had just been installed. The house was so well equipped for all these celebrations and spacious enough for lots of people . We had a fabulous weekend and would like to thank Sean for all his help.

Host was very welcoming. Showed us around his amazing home and explained the workings of his home to us. The house was beautiful and very spacious. Would highly recommend and we are already planning our return in July

This is an absolutely an amazing Airbnb.The space was fantastic and the outside area had a BBQ, hot tub and a swing and a zip line for the wee ones. Sean even had toys for the children to play withWe will definitely be returning.

A local girl coming home for a family wedding I couldn’t believe my luck when I found this place It was everything I hoped for and more. The house is amazing , spacious and well equipped with fantastic views. We loved it as did my local family who were able to visit us - it was great to have the room for them all come to us.Sean is a fantastic host and was great keeping in touch in the run up to our holiday - we even found we had family connectionsOne of the best family holidays we have had and one I want to repeat but for longer next timeThanks Sean for your hospitality

Great place to stay and have a get together at

I'm just back from a recent trip at Knockalla with some friends and our kids. It was outstanding! Sean couldn't have been been any more welcoming or helpful, from the time of booking until the minute we left. Nothing was a problem and we instantly felt at home. A beautiful, homely property that had everything you could ever need and more. The abundance of inside and outside space meant to kids had lots of room to play and the hot tub was something else!! Location was also great as we had lots of shops, restaurants and activities within a short drive. We will most certainly book again. Thanks again Sean for your amazing hospitality and allowing us to stay in your beautiful home!

We stayed here for two weeks and have to say it rated as one of our best holidays!The accommodation is superb and extremely comfortable with lovely views across beautiful countryside. The house was large and spacious. we had everything we could possibly need, Sean was an excellent host to came by to light the fire burner in the house and also to set up the hot tub and prepared it for us on both nights. This place is definitely worth a stay and I can only imagine the possibilities for large family get togethers or celebrations. We were on a girls trip but I would definitely return with my family in the future. Sean arranged taxis and gave great advice on restaurants and other questions we had about sterling etc.Thanks againNatasha

I have just returned from a mini-wedding celebration in Knockalla and I am very satisfied with my stay.Sean was very easy to communicate with and to discuss all the arrangements from the beginning.  Meeting him in person was like catching up with an old Friend. He is a people's person and willing to give a hand.The accommodation is very comfortable. The bedrooms are well equipped and spacious. There is a fantastic bathroom overlooking the fields. There is even a PC if you need to check-in for your flights.If you were to arrange the house and amenities to your own liking  - for example, an extra dining room or second sitting room or outside space with tables around the hot tub -  then maybe arrive early to make sure you can customize and use these areas to the fullest potential.Liene

Spent a lovely time at Knockalla House , its Big , clean and very well appointed, cant think of anything it hasn't got !Quick reliable Wifi , so can support the multiple HD steams (as smart TV's in every room) . Main bathroom is amazing with views over the apple orchards . Its within 10 mins drive of at least 2 different towns with loads of pubs and restaurants and lots of places will deliver food and has a large well appointed kitchenSean met us with a glass of wine and showed us around the house and would have been available should we have needed him. Local taxi company does Seans guests a good deal if you want to cab it into town, or a trip further away .Would rebookWe booked direct with Sean so probably got a better rate so worth doing that !
