Very caring. My daughter had to have her precious woof put to sleep. They were so good. The only thing to say is it would be much better if the could have waited in another area rather than the communal waiting area. It would be much better for the pet owners.

First time at this vet, unfortunately had to have my bearded dragon put down. The vet I had was absolutely lovely. She was so knowledgeable and kind and she was so patient with me during the difficult time. I unfortunately didn't get her name but I'm so thankful for how gentle and kind she was. Definitely recommend them for anyone with exotic pets who might be struggling to find the right vet.

A really excellent vets. They really care about animal health. I take my cat here for routine appointments and had to in an emergency and for both I was really happy with the service. The receptionists are very welcoming too. Vets are pricy but I feel at least I am getting value for money and I feel safe that my cat is in good care.

We sadly took our beloved pet to Highcroft, both the vet and hospital, found that the communication was poor and we had to ask for a plan and for the aims to be explained to us because they weren't good at explaining what this was.Vet said inappropriate things such as 'she looks very miserable' & 'she's looking very sorry for herself', when in fact she was clearly dying. They wanted to run test after test which would have maxed out our insurance not to mention put our pet through unnecessary distress. We felt that in the end, the extraordinary extreme clinical approach was a lot about financial gain, less about care and dignity (we have been with other vets previously who do treat owners and pets with compassion and humanity). When we visited our pet we found that she hadn't eaten all day and her eyes were crusted over, we had to ask for cotton wool to clear it, we were told that this had been 'just done' which we didn't believe. In all, we didn't have confidence that our pet was being cared for in the way she should have been. There was an inappropriate conversation with the vet during our visit to boot which cemented our view that our pet just was not in the right place. It might have helped a lot if the clinical staff were with us in some way on our journey, but we consistently felt outside of decisions and the process. On balance I am sure that some people who work here do care for animals but the business is so driven and bureaucratic that there is really no room for real compassion here.

I can highly recommend this vets for end of life care. Sadly we had to make the decision to have our beloved cat Wilson put to sleep. The vet who assisted us was incredibly professional, polite and kind. She really went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable with our decision and make the process as honouring and gentle as possible. The words she said whilst administering the injection were really beautiful and just made the whole ordeal so much easier. Thank you.

Came here to use the emergency service when our old dog had reached the end of his life. The vet we saw Tom, was there for us late on a Sunday night, and ran through the various options but gently confirmed what we expected and euthanised our dog. He gave us plenty of time to think about it and let us cuddle our lovely dog before, during and after the procedure. Can't recommend enough.

5 stars for Doctor Thomas Crippen. Very skillful and professional. We've been at Highcroft Hospital today with our dog and the doctor knew precisely what was wrong with her at first glance. We are very pleased and also the price was very fair. Today's experience made me edit my review. Thank you very much.
