Needs improvement .Wouldn’t recommend For a place of work

The staff were wonderful

Tha Don’t be fooled by the friendly staff and management . They will tell you all you want to hear but reality is that my mum wasn’t being fed every time I visited her she said she was starving. My mum is blind and needs help has she is also bed bound. She ate everything when I fed her .Also there was an incident where another resident was physically and verbally abusing my mum and this only came to light because my aunt and uncle were present at the time. My mum was able then to tell us about a man coming into her shouting at her. The Manager assured me that it won’t happen again but then failed to put a pressure mat at the door to alert staff that someone had entered mums room has she reassured that she would do.Also there is no staff on first first floor and other residents know codes and wonder upstairs. Anyone can walk in and out the home. No checks just use the codes.My mum was admitted to hospital last month she had malnutrition and severely dehydrated her hair was matted so badly and she had lots of bed sores and her skin was breaking down. She was smelly and hadn’t had a good wash for a while. This was noted by medical staff ( neglect)Since being in the care home in may 2023 she had lost 12 kilos. she was admitted for stroke. I believe this care home severely neglected my mum in the 4 months that she was in their care.She is now recovering and has put on some weight and is now at another home. I wouldn’t want anyone else to go through this heartbreak .t Care Home left my mum to starve

If you really love your loved one, please do not put them in here. This place is not a care home, it is a dying home. They are understaffed and some staff simply do not care. I would not let a sick animal be cared for in this 'home'.
