Style over substance - Great service and lovely location. We were disappointed with the food though. We were expecting a cake stand with sandwiches, cakes and scones (after seeing a friends post on social media) We were given a wooden platter each with bite sized pieces. The cakes were far too sweet and the smoked salmon/salmon pate was far too salty to eat. One of the savouries was chutney on a cracker!Still it was lovely to sit in the sunshine and take time to relax.I wouldn't recommend to my friends and family.

We went for tea to celebrate a friend's birthday. There were 7 of us and I'm gluten free and they produced a delicious tea. Really interesting and tasty morsels and very full afterwards. Didn't eat again until the next day!

Have stayed here on a number of occasions over a few years. The food and level of customer care are outstanding and has never faltered in my experience. Chef cooks seasonally from local ingredients which are very well sourced, he is extremely creative and dishes not only taste delicious but look amazing aswell. The front of house staff are extremely friendly and attentive, all in all the experience leaves me feeling extremely well looked after. Can't wait to visit again.

This is a magical place full of atmosphere. You get a very warm welcome on arrival and the service is brilliant. Delicious food that looks like a work of art on the plate. We just went to the restaurant for an evening out. I can't wait to go back.

Wonderful food and a very comfortable room. Thank you team Yarlbury Cottage.We will definitely be seeing you again in 2024 for afternoon tea, Sunday lunch and evening meals. (but not on the same day ☺)

We are lucky enough to live walking distance from here, live in neighbouring village. This was a special celebration meal. Excellent setting, service, and the food is second to none. What a treat.
