Rung up a couple of days ago regarding my dog having a problem with his ear which is known to be extremely painful. We were told there are no appointments for 2.5 weeks which we understood- so asked to have some painkillers prescribed for the mean time until surgery could be done. We were told they cannot give us any as they’re too busy (we have had this problem before and we were in and out the vets in 5 minutes so it isn’t a lengthy process). So they also know which painkillers he can have as he’s had them before for the exact same thing. I asked if my dog is going to have to suffer/be in excruciating pain for 2 and a half weeks, the ladies reply on the phone was ‘I’m afraid so’. I can appreciate they’re busy hence why I wasn’t expecting to be seen the same day or even for a few days. However this is appalling practice from people who are supposed to ‘care’ for animals. Obviously we phoned another surgery as I couldn’t have our dog in excruciating pain and not eating for 2 and a half weeks who got us in within the next hour as ‘they could never see a dog in that much pain’, brilliant practice and what you would expect from a veterinary practice who genuinely cares for animals. We weren’t expecting to be seen that quickly either which was a bonus and was very impressed. We have spent thousands previously at coastline on surgeries and appointments for our 2 dogs as we thought they were a good veterinary practice- won’t be returning.

The staff and the receptionists are lovely can't fault anything with coastline vets. Although some the vet can make me feel like sometimes I'm going to get wrong with the vet as I'm nervous person and I suffer with mental health. All it is. Is to be bit patience with customers that are more sensitive and vulnerable. We understand that the vets have a job to. But if someone is nervous and maybe don't know the coastline vets well we may struggle to understand. But coastline vets is a really kind friendly service.

I just had to make the hard decision to finally have my cat Miley put to sleep. The vet and vet nurse were so gentle with her, giving me the assurance that the decision I'd made was done in kindness. Nothing felt rushed and plenty of time to say my goodbyes at all stages. It made such a painful experience so peaceful. Thank you for your compassion and empathy

We can't thank Coastline Vets enough for everything they did for our beautiful Molly in the 3 years we were lucky enough to have her in our lives. They acted professionally, kindly and compassionately towards ourselves and her. They never spoke down to us despite us being younger owners (something that friends have struggled with at other surgeries) and always answered questions thoroughly and without judgement. We feel comforted that they did all that they could for her in her final days and we were treated with empathy and compassion when we lost her. I always recommend them to friends and family and think that if you're looking for a Veterinary Surgery that you need look no further. (We used the Village Rise and Carlton Colville branches.)

On holiday for a week in Barnby. 2 weeks ago, my greyhound had a prolonged bout of diarrhoea. Got a broad-spectrum antibiotic from my own vet. This seemed to clear it up. 48 hours after finishing the AB 's, the diarrhoea was back with a vengeance, only this time with blood in. I had seen a sign for Coastline Vets, Carlton Colville on the way to Pakefield beach on Saturday, so called in on the off chance that some more AB's could be prescribed. I was given excellent advice and an appointment arranged, also a call made to my home vets, to ask them to send Nina's clinical history. All this done whilst I waited. Was seen by vet in the afternoon, who diagnosed colitis and prescribed the AB, which I'd asked my own vet for, but was refused, as I knew from past experience with a previous dog, that this would clear the diarrhoea up. The receptionist also phoned the North Lowestoft branch to check on gastrointestinal food availability, so her dietary needs were also catered to. I couldn't have been more impressed with the care, concern and friendly, relaxed, but professional attitude of all of the staff I dealt with today. Thank you so much. Hopefully will have a more relaxing rest of the week and Nina will be on the mend.

What genuine and kind staff at Coastline veterinary surgery in Carlton Colville.I phoned up recently when I found an injured Hedgehog in our garden.Without hesitation, I was asked if I could bring the Hog in so that they could assess him, even though it was almost at the end of their working day.Even though the outcome was a sad one, they did all they could.Thank you, Coastline. I have been visiting these vets since 2005 when I got my first dog. The reception staff are always nice and helpful when calling or visiting. The practice veterinarians are always helpful and always willing to answer any questions or keep you updated if your pet needs to stay in overnight for any reason. Really happy with the service received over the last 18 years. I have no complaints at all.
