After having some issues with my car that I recently bought up in Leeds branch which had closed down, I had to take my car down to the Castle Donington site. Initially I struggled to get in contact with the after sales department team, due to nobody answering the phone and being passed to other departments - something which should change in my opinion and which makes it not a 5 star review. But I finally got booked in to get my car sorted. I was dealt with by Craig in the aftersales department who may I say is an asset to your team! He made the whole experience so much better for me. He helped me arrange a day to drop my vehicle off which was out of normal working hours and then gave me the option of what curtesy car that I would like until mine was done. He kept me informed of what was going off and let me know as soon as it was done. There was no rush for me to get back down and pick it up and he was happy to help me where he could! Ultimately what was a negative experience to begin with left me with confidence that my car and me had been looked after in a good manner. Thank you Craig and the team

Everyone I dealt with at AvailableCar was a delight. I bought just what I was needed for a fair price, and was given a fair price for my Part-Ex. This is what buying a used car should be like everywhere. Initially I dealt remotely with Neal, as I'm based 150 miles away but I'd been looking for a specific spec. Neal arranged a test drive and firmed up my Part-Ex valuation remotely. I then came up to test drive with Joel who was friendly and informative without any pressure applied. He was happy to leave me to have a good look at the vehicle on my own to help decide. Finally Alex sorted out the deal and explained the process thoroughly, including the work that would be done to the vehicle before collection. Joel then finished the job with handover a week later, and Alex took the time to come over and say hello. I spoke to a few other people on the phone too, all of whom were incredibly helpful. I'd be tempted to buy my next car there too, even if I do live a long way away!

Good selection of used cars, and facilities are very good, even a soft play area for kids

We purchased a car from her less than a month ago for £18,999. After driving it for a couple of days we realised the electric wing mirrors were not working (amongst other issues). We hadn’t noticed this prior as it was not listed on the specification sheet. We booked it in at castle Donington (where we purchased it from) and the closest day we could get was about 4 weeks later. It was booked for both wing mirrors, as neither worked. Nor had they since we collected the car. My husband, an experienced mechanic of 16 years made it clear to them what the issue was. The reason he didn’t fix it himself is because the car is under warranty and why should he? This is their problem!I drop the car off (Monday) and after a few hours I receive a call saying parts are needed. I receive a call at 4pm Wednesday saying that they have fixed the passenger wing mirror but “now the drivers side has broken”. I question this as it was always booked in for both and I am told “it was working yesterday “ despite not having worked for the past 4 weeks. I am now told that I need to wait for that part to be ordered, which given the time scale of the first one and the fact their mechanics don’t work weekends, will be next week. So I am paying for a car that I am not even driving. I asked for a full valet of my vehicle by way of apology given this issue was something that should have been fixed prior to the sale of the vehicle. I was told “we don’t have the staff or time to do that”. The manager had no interpersonal skills, he just read the policy book to me and evidently their mechanics could do with some further training. I am absolutely disgusted at their lack of customer service. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!

I purchased a car from the team earlier this year and would suggest you avoid the team like the plague.The process of choosing the car went smoothly and all paperwork was handled quickly and I booked in to collect the next week. With my money taken and my MOT close to running out on my previous vehicle we returned to collect the car to be told my collection had dropped off the system and the car hadn’t been looked atWhat follows is the worst couple of weeks with the customer service from the team so far below the minimum standard you would expect it’s laughable. When I finally could pick the car up there was a chip in the window and an incorrectly placed bung in the boot which left me with a flooded car and having to take time off work to try to get the issues sortedCustomer service for the team at castle donnigton is a dirty word because they certainly didn’t show an ounce of it in any of my interactions.

I bought a Peugeot 207 GTI from Available car over 8 years ago from here. After driving the car away a warning light came up on the dashboard indicating a flat tyre. I got out to inspect the car and realised the tyres were low, however not flat. I then realised the car had been sold to me without being properly inspected, and something as so simple as tyre pressure wasn't done.After this poor experience I vowed never to purchase a car from here ever again. Well today as passing Available car, I decided to have a quick browse as I'm looking at changing my car. As we walked inside we were met by a guy who seemed less than welcoming as he was eager to mention they were closing an hour and a half. He also asked if we were looking at cars, which I thought would be quite obvious.Walking around I soon realised that many of the cars were well overpriced and not in the best of conditions. I liked the look of a Kia Ceed however once I opened the door I realised it stunk of cigarette smoke. Another car I liked was full of dirt and also for some reason had dust all over it, which you don't expect when out on sale and displayed to the public.After this recent experience I soon remembered why I stay clear of this place.

A good place to go for a second hand car, with a wide range of models at a wide range of prices. Prices are fixed but in my experience generally competitive and there is some leeway on Part Exchange. There is no sales pressure and there is a good opportunity to look at and sit in many different makes and models.

Excellent service, friendly staff. No hard sell just a lovely young man (Scott Q) doing his job in a very professional way. Our dog was welcomed with a drink and a biscuit, free coffee and a children's play area. The whole experience was top class, thank you.

Unfortunate experience and just unprofessional in my opinion. Have spoken to someone a week prior to collection day of a car I was going to buy. Turn up on the day for 3pm collection, get a call around 3:20 to say it’s running late on valet, I had already arrived by then. Anyways, told to wait till 4:30, then till 5 then 5:30 the manager comes and tells me there’s a fuel pressure light on the car dash. Never saw the car, didn’t test drive it or anything. Drive 130 miles to go see this car and this was the result, I’m confident no one even bothered to turn the car on until I had arrive on the day of collection, finance was ready to go, insured the car, taxed the car even!Really poor service, as another customer leaving the premises he was telling me to check the car thoroughly as cars are being sold with faded brake pads and worn parts etc. I have withdrawn the offer of buying the car despite offering a discounted price and home delivery for the inconvenience, just seeing other peoples review about after sales, I had no confidence I would get any support should there be issues after purchasing the vehicle.Please improve your service and be attentive to confirmed customers, PDI should be priority for you as it would tell you issues with vehicles beforehand and give you plenty of time to fix them.Goodluck!
