Kinmount House

My Husband and I recently got married at Kinmount House (Sept 23) after booking this amazing venue over 3 years ago.We originally booked this waaaaay back when it first opened. The moment we walked into the house we fell in love with it it. The house and the grounds were outstanding. Nothing compared. This was before the pavilion was even built, but we just knew it would be as lovely as the rest.From our first visit, to the day of the wedding, Victoria was absolutely amazing. Nothing was ever too much trouble and she offered support the whole way through. Everything was organised to a T which meant we could relax and enjoy our day. We would also like to thank Ashley for her support and kindness on the day of the wedding. Wendy who also overseen our wedding, was fabulous. All our guests have complimented the staff at Kinmount for their warm and welcoming nature. You really are first class.I’d also like to thank the Chef for our Italian Banquet and Buffet. Kinmount were happy to cater for our wants as we didn’t want to go for a traditional wedding meal. We’ve never heard so many people rave about lasagne and tiramisu! We have even been told by a few guests, that it was ‘the best wedding meal they’ve ever had!’.We stayed at various cottages on the Friday and Saturday of our wedding. They were all immaculate and well supplied. It felt like a holiday! The Bridal Cottage was especially beautiful.We both had the best day ever. There is not one single thing we would change about our Wedding. It was perfect from start to finish. It wouldn’t have been possible with Kinmount and their staff. We can’t thank you enough! We will continue to rave about this place for years to come. If you’re in two minds wether to visit or hold your wedding here, then don’t be hesitant. My wife and I got married at Kinmount House in April 2023. We first visited the estate in spring 2021, and we were impressed by the beauty of the house and grounds. After meeting with Victoria the events manager, we felt confident Kinmount was the right choice for our wedding. The events staff recommended our wonderful humanist celebrant and worked well with our photographer, florist, and cake designer, throughout our planning.Our wedding party stayed in the cottages at Kinmount for two nights and everyone found the accommodation to be excellent. We hosted dinner and drinks for the wedding party in the Croft on the night before the wedding. It was the ideal setting for a fun, informal and relaxed evening. The delicious stonebaked pizzas proved to be a good omen for the food the next day.The wedding day itself exceeded all our expectations. Our family and friends had an absolutely wonderful time. Everyone complimented the meal and our guests were especially taken with Kinmount as a venue. There were so many funny, touching and special moments throughout the day. Two in particular stand out for my wife and I - watching our child guests play for hours on the lawn in front of the Pavillon, and being driven down to the South Lake for photographs on the back of the buggy.Throughout the entire weekend, all the staff at Kinmount were professional, on top of all the detail, and always in good humour. We want to especially thank Victoria, Nadia, Wendy, and Fiona for everything they did.Kinmount House was the perfect setting for our special day.

Beautiful venue. Staff are super helpful and informative. Very experienced and able to help with all questions I've had.

Perfect location for a wedding, the rooms are very large and comfortable. There are cottages next to the house, these are also cosy and warm. Our whole experience at our family wedding was perfect from beginning to end.

We chose Kinmount House as our wedding venue and it turned out to be the best decision we could have made! The wedding coordinators Nadia and Victoria are amazing and answer your emails at any time of day. You can tell how much time and effort they put in to make sure your day is perfect!It is fabulous being able to have so many guests stay onsite and we took all the accomodation available for 2 nights. We hired the Croft for the Friday night and served burgers from the Soul Food van. George (the owner) was a great host and was so welcoming.The house itself is amazing and it felt so special to wake up there on the morning of the wedding. We went on a walk around the beautiful lake that morning and then got ready in the wedding prep room with breakfast delivered to the room (made it very relaxing!)Ryan and I had our ceremony in the new stretch canopy tent which felt like an enchanted garden and then had canapés in the main house followed by our reception in the pavillion. It is great having so many different areas available and you are spoiled for photo opportunities. We were able to use any suppliers we wanted and had a fab band and Irish dancers in the break. Nadia liased with all our suppliers and took all the stress out of organising the wedding.George and Fiona are very hands on owners and were around the entire weekend to help set up and make sure everyone was having the best time (George even serving Barbie Bomb shots behind the bar!). Ryan and I would like to say a huge thank you from the bottom of our hearts to Nadia, Victoria, George and Fiona for letting us host our wedding at Kinmount and helping it all run so smoothly. I'm sure the venue is only going to go from strength to strength over the next few years and we will be back to visit soon!

A wonderful place to have a wedding. Amazing staff who where so professional and hospitable. Attending a wedding in autumn 2023 and stayed in the accommodation. It was a wonderful place to spend two days with friends, for a beautiful wedding. Stunning building, stunning landscapes, stunning service, and a stunning bride. Loved my time here.

We were at a Funeral Tea and on a sad occasion Kinmout was a fantastic venue, food was lovely, staff very attentive and nice place to go and relax after the church service and graveside. Ours was a sad occasion but Kinmount is also a wedding venue and am sure these events must be quite superb in this setting.

The best wedding venue in Dumfries & Galloway! We got married here in June 2023 & everything about it was perfect from start to finish. Stunning venue, beautiful gardens & lots of guest accommodation! Victoria & the team work so hard to make the day run smoothly & we can’t praise them all enough. Thank you so much for the wedding of our dreams! X
