I started guitar lessons with Martin about 18 months ago to prepare for my first ever performance on my 65th birthday last summer. Following that my brother in law and a friend both asked me to play bass for their bands for performances this summer so I have also been taking bass lessons from him. He is excellent at all aspects from practical playing tips to music theory and I have learned a lot from him and continue to really enjoy the lessons.

Martin is a very dedicated, patient and experienced guitar tutor. He provides just the right amount of persistence and encouragement, and for someone who has been self taught for the last few years, Martin is challenging my playing and taking me right out of my comfort zone, which I think is crucial to developing and improving as a player. I cannot recommend his tutoring highly enough.

After 12 years of stop-starting guitar by myself I decided to get some in-person lessons, and Martin has been so so great. We chat loads about the process, he's so patient with my overthinky perfectionist ways - and I've improved more in 4 months than over a whole decade. Plus I love watching him play, he's an awesome guitarist.

Martin is an excellent teacher as I am learning objectives faster as opposed to an online course, helping me understand concepts in various ways and pushing me to improve my guitar skills!! Would Highly recommend!!!!

Myself and my niece started guitar lessons with Martin around 6 months ago as complete beginners. Martin is an excellent teacher and has been very patient with us and our lessons are easy to follow and explained very well. I would highly recommend Martin! 5 stars...if I could give 10 stars I would!!

I have had several tutorials with Martin and I plan to have more.Each time he has made me feel very relaxed and his teaching manneris adaptable so you can concentrate on the areas most in need ofimprovement.After every lesson I leave feeling as though I have made a break-through inmy guitar playing with both theory and technique.I would recommend Martin to anyone at any level.

Martin is a great teacher! From the start he understands your objectives and tailors lessons to suit - I wanted to learn how to play finger style and after only a few lessons and Martin’s advice I’ve made loads of progress. All the more impressive as with lockdown these lessons have all been online! To keeps things interesting Martin also set an optional group project - all students could contribute to an online band video. Would really recommend!

I have owned an electric guitar for 16 years trying to learn from U tube. I decided to find a teacher and found Martin. He has been absolutely excellent and pushes me to get better and use better techniques rather than the bad habits learnt online. I would recommend Martin to anyone that wants to start playing guitar or wanting to improve their playing.
