Radisson Blu Hotel London Stansted Airport

Sadly had a really disappointing stay at this hotel. The rooms are lovely as is the hotel but the service is mostly very poor. The website sells things it doesn’t have (like an early breakfast for people on early flights - they do a muesli pot and banana to go which you could buy in the airport for a third of the price), the staff claim things are not available when asked - like breakfast in the room. And when I left my room service card out on the door for breakfast they didn’t collect it so we didn’t get our order when we got up in the morning.They then said they would refund and email me and I haven’t heard anything from them.The restaurant also had no tables available at 8pm for dinner the night before. And the pool is only open from like 8am to 7pm - no use for some travellers.The bar served a small selection of food which was good and the staff in the bar were wonderful.But for the prices they charge, I expected a lot more from this hotel. I wouldn’t stay here again if I had an early flight (which is the purpose for a lot of people).

Lovely hotel. Clean and comfortable. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Rooms very spacious and large comfortable beds. Situated in a great location, next to the terminal in Stansted Airport. Food was of great quality. The hotel also has its own health club with a gym, swimming pool, sauna, and steam rooms. All guests are able to use these facilities. I would highly recommend Radisson Blue, especially if you have an early flight the next morning or a late flight arrival.

Rooms are great, large rooms with many amenities. Reason for four stars only due to no room service (habit of airport hotels?) and poor food selection in the lobby bar. Lobby bar staff also seemed stressed and not very customer focused. Breakfast was good though.

Rooms are pretty rubbish, no fridge, water and they have the worst designed headboard of any hotel I've stayed at. But I would still recommend staying here just for the convenience of walking 5 minutes to the airport security.

I've been couple of time in this hotel travelling as air crew, and so far I've always had very pleasant stay.Rooms are quite spacious, silent, furnished with all comforts, I would suggest anyway to be careful about some details with the cleanliness.Hotel's interiors are very spacious, modern and luminous, the tower wine cellar is so cool.Fitness center, which include: a gym, a swimming pool, a yoga and spinning studio, is quite huge and furnished and host the equipment to do many cardio and weights exercises.I appreciated lot the food and beverage offer. Restaurant food is very genuine and variegated, and the breakfast buffet offers a huge selection of savoury, sweet and healthy options.I would bring the attention anyway on the restaurant service, since me and my colleagues we had to repeat several times our orders to the staff, plus, despite the precise indication we didn't receive the bill split for each person. I think, some communication was lacking among the staff.Apart from this, strongly recommended

The hotel is lovely,very nicely decorated,The rooms are very nice,I had the airport view so was an experience to watch planes take off from the comfort of your room.The bar was fantastic,very big with lots of tables and chairs. The nice collage of an entire ground floor area.The restaurant was also nice.Will definitely be staying again when flying out of Stanstead.

I really want to give this hotel a better rating. However, the rooms really let it down. The location couldn't be better with only a couple of minutes walk (undercover) to the terminal. And the public areas are really well designed, both contemporary and spacious. If you're starting or finishing a holiday or business trip here, the Radisson Stansted has a really good vibe in the communal areas. Unfortunately, as many reviewers have also pointed out, the rooms are tired and in need of refurbishment. The first room we were allocated had numerous stains on the bed base and large stains on the carpet. The bathroom basin was blocked and the toilet had black mould around the rim. In fact, the whole bathroom needed re-sealing and re-grouting and the bedroom needed a deep-clean. I got the feeling that the staff were fully aware of the shortcomings of some of the rooms because when I complained to reception they immediately offered an upgrade to another room. The second room was much better but still not without fault. Such a shame, as this could be an outstanding airport hotel with a little tlc.

Great location, lovely soundproofing and kind staff. The check in and out is easy… but… the state of the room. So so so awful. Far from a four star hotel. Dirty, build up dirt, shower has barely any pressure so I could barely wash my hair. The lights working just partially. Looked like a two star hotel room. Very unpleasant stay, stay if you have to because of your early flight but otherwise not worth the price at all.

Booked a room for an early flight the following day. There was a lovely young man, William, on reception who I would like to give a shout out for. He kindly gave us an upgrade. Our room was superb on every level. The hotel is interesting, clean, great layout and has a spectacular view from the gallery landing, down onto the main hallway and bar/restaurant. The service was excellent. Their price range for food was brilliant. Bar snacks, medium priced dining room or top of the range restaurant. Take your pick. Would highly recommend for easy access to Airport and excellent Windows to shield out any aircraft noise. Will be happy to use again. Please keep up your high standard.

Lovely hotel! Beautiful, classy and elegant. It's clear a lot of thought went into the design of the foyer, it's quite spectacular. Rooms are on the smaller size but at an airport, you don't tend to be staying long enough to worry about the size of the room. The facilities are excellent, nice gym and a lovely heated pool, which is great for adults and kids.
