Quite simply, the best club in the land. Been countless times and every visit is fantastic. James Gill is the king of MCs and the acts are second to none every single time. Lovely atmosphere and venue (very intimate, make seeing big names there feel even more exciting) and great food and drink in the pub downstairs too

This is an extraordinary comedy club - expertly curated by James and Tim, with a mix of top tier megastars, established circuit talent and up-&-coming voices.I am a local and have been coming for years but would come from afar if I had to. To see it grow during lockdown, when they mastered the online gig format, and how that success was sustained & developed with the return of in-person shows, has been heart-warming and impressive. It’s all done with an appealing lightness of touch, but underpinned by craft, creative genius and a deep love of comedy that inspires rare loyalty from both audience and acts alike. And it is frankly ludicrously good value for the quality on show. A gig. A community. An institution.

This is the best comedy club in London to see established comedians doing work in progresses, turning up unannounced or doing full tour previews or to watch upcoming comedians who in turn have gone onto greater things.James Gill will make you feel as if you are chatting to your friends in the pub.He’s ably assisted by Tim Lewis whose tech skills are unsurpassed.Can’t recommend this highly enough. Also listen to their superb podcast.

Fabulous comedy venue. Small crowded room above a pub, just like it is supposed to be. And then add most of the best names in comedy and it’s a guaranteed great night out. Only problem is that there are too many good shows here to go to them all.
