Chris has completed a couple of plastering jobs for us now, he has good attention to detail and completes work to a high standard. Chris is very friendly and someone we are happy to have in our home, he responds quickly to emails, is happy to discuss options, arrives when he says he will and is very tidy. I first used Chris for major plastering, damp proofing and thermal plasterboard insulation work at my last property which was always carried out to the highest standard. Having now moved to a new property I had no hesitation in contacting Chris for similar work on one of my bedrooms. All I can say is Chris always provides an excellent service, he is prompt, courteous, tidy and his standard of work is excellent, once again he fitted thermoboard insulation to the walls and ceiling which offers superb insulation to the room allowing me to turn the radiator thermostat down. Chris is one of those rare finds. I can unconditionally recommend him. He completed a damp proofing project in a 1850's build 'workers cottage' including digging out 2 kitchen walls, mounting a waterproof membrane, sealing everything, boxing in radiator pipes and finally replastering. Leaving a great finish. 2 years on - everything still looks great. He is responsive and considerate while being fair value.More recently he has advised on damp in a downstairs bedroom with a void under the wooden floorboards. Thanks for your help.

Chris first did a job for me in the mid noughties and I had no hesitation in contacting him when I noticed a rising damp problem in the utilty room in my house. Chris is punctual, highly skilled, cleans the site on completion, and in my case even fixed a washing machine draining problem which was not part of the original qoute at no cost. I thoroughly recommend him.

Chris recently undertook measures to rectify a long-term damp issue we had where our chimney breast was removed by others previously. The residual chemicals on the remaining wall left from the burning of coal etc produced salts which attracted moisture to the wall when the room was humid (during rain, but also during cooking etc).We were given Chris' details through a friend who had work done previously by Chris, and we weren't disappointed. Whilst not able to take our call immediately, Chris replied promptly and arranged a scoping visit in short order. The works were very reasonably priced, and subsequently programmed in.On the day Chris arrived promptly, used drop cloths and other protection for our floors, benches etc, and then went above and beyond completing the works; including adjusting the extents to encapsulate a small adjacent area of unsightly plasterwork to ensure the finish was perfect. His advice on potential issues was spot on, so that when things didn't go exactly to plan, it wasn't a surprise, and an alternate method was already agreed as 'plan B'. Chris was respectful of the property, cleaned up as well as possible each day, and left the place at the end of the job in a tidy state as promised.I have every confidence the work will stand the test of time and would highly recommend Chris to others.

Chris has been an absolute legend sorting our rising damp and that of our neighbour. On time every time, polite friendly and very reassuring. His work ethic is awesome, a proper grafter from 08:15 each day and done in 3 days explaining every step as he went.He sheeted up, no dust anywhere in the house despite this very dusty work, honestly he’d put a cleaner to shame, so rare in the construction world!! All rubbish removed and the final coat of plaster smooth and ready to paint when dry.Highly recommend, super chap who knows his trade. Thanks Chris!

Chris carried out some damp proofing, boarding and skimming in our commercial premise. He was timely and professional and the quality of plastering is exceptional!

We have employed Chris a number of times for damp issues and plastering jobs. Some small, some not so small. He is always top class. He arrives to quote when he says he will, he turns up for the job (some don't!), he always cleans up very well and his bill is always reasonable. That should be enough, but he's also a very nice chap. So why would you go anywhere else!
