Farington Lodge Hotel
A superb location, friendly staff and absolutely exquisite food. The only issue at all, was that two groups of guests were excessively loud in the restaurant, which was very quiet. It can be quite distracting and brings down the atmosphere when people are sat listening to music/watching TV loudly on their phones or having loud telephone conversations and your conversationis competing with the noise. None of the staff remotely seemed interested in politely asking these guests to be courteous. It took a lady on another table to confront them before they were quiet.Aside from that, it was a lovely setting and food.

Great meal our with my family church. It was a night of celebrations for all the volunteers. It was absolutely amazing and funny night.

We had afternoon tea with champagne here. They accommodated us, despite not usually offering afternoon tea on a Tuesday, to fit with our travel plans, and accommodated my gluten allergy with ease. And it was delicious. Great service. Lovely food. Overall a super experience!

The room was impressive and tasteful with everything you would expect.The staff were friendly and caring. Our dogs were treated as special guests not an annoyance. The food was good quality and not over-fancy and it was clearly prepared fresh and could therefore be tweaked to your requirements. I had a sauce made which wasn't on the menu. The waiter knew what I wanted and that it could easily be done.

We came for the Wake after a family funeral and we were treated very kindly. All the staff were friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble! The room was spacious and was next to the bar! Would highly recommend! The buffet was tasty too!

Lovely building set in its own grounds. We had afternoon tea which was fabulous. A choice of sandwich fillings, also a sausage roll, scones, cakes and as much tea as you like. Service was excellent.

Had my Dad's wedding there a few Friday's ago. Staff were lovely and very polite. Food was good, they were absolutely no trouble with any dietary requests. Great venue.

We booked a private dining room to celebrate a special birthday.Communication with Jennifer the Events Coordinator prior to the event was friendly and efficient. We chose the 3 course Sunday dinner and there was plenty of choice for the 14 guest, all dietary requirements were catered for.The Victoria Room was beautifully set out and had delightful period features. Having French windows onto the garden was an added bonus.The staff could have not been any friendlier or more professional, Paul really went that extra mile to ensure that our event ran smoothly.The food was delicious and beautifully presented.We would definitely recommend Farington Lodge for an event.

We had our wedding here yesterday and everything about it was perfect. The staff are just wonderful - so genuinely warm, friendly and helpful as well as highly professional - and nothing was too much trouble. From our first speculative visit whilst still venue hunting, to the moment we checked out this morning, the service was impeccable. Thank you for making our special day so memorable. Everything just flowed with ease and we were able to relax and enjoy every second of it. The food was fabulous too!
