The Old Post Office
In the evening you can park in the Waitrose for free. Then it's a short walk down the alley to the Old Post Office. It's a huge place with an upbeat vibe. The food is pretty good. I had half a charcoal roast chicken which was excellent. They only had my third choice of desert which was disappointing, I nevertheless the chocolate brownie was very tasty.

Visited Wallingford with some friends. Lovely town. Found this amazing place. Perfect atmosphere, amazing service, they loved our friends dog. Food was 10 out of 10!! Delish!! Had a wood fired pizza and husband fish and chips… yum! Will be back.

Great place. Thoroughly enjoyed our food - top quality, and some unique elements to the menu. Waiting staff were very good - attentive at the right times, polite and friendly, and good timing between courses.Atmosphere also good - slightly spaced out tables, but definitely a restaurant feel as opposed to a pub.

Came to Wallingford just to visit this place based on the recommendation, and it was worth the visit. The atmosphere seems lovely with a kitchen in the middle of the eating area which I think always shows they are proud of thier food. And the waiting staff were attentive but not over the top.But of course the star of the show was the food. I fancied the potato skins (from the nibbles menu) as a starter, and the pollo (chicken) pizza which was so tasty looking I had tucked in before remembering to take the photo! Sadly no room for dessert this time so next time!Highly recommended

Popped in for breakfast. Service was very good, friendly staff. Food came quickly and hot, and was very tasty. It would be nice to have the option of black pudding as it's my favourite.

First visit to this restaurant, having previously stayed in the area and had heard good reviews which didn't disappoint. I ordered the sausage and mash followed by blueberry cheesecake for dessert, accompanied by rose' wine. Both meals were delicious ; my only comment would be that the main could've done with a more generous helping of gravy . However the side vegetables ( kale , peas and green beans) were tasty and the cheesecake superb Visited midweek just after the Bank Holiday. Service was friendly and efficient. Can't comment on parking as stayed nearby hence walked to the venue.

I visited The Old Post Office with three friends this evening. It's obviously very popular as it was very busy at the bar when we walked in, which added to the atmosphere. We were shown to our table quickly which we had booked in advance. Tables were nicely distanced from each other, staff were polite and friendly and service was good. We didn't have a long wait for food or drinks. The restaurant was clean and there was plenty to choose from on the menu. My pizza was one of the best pizzas I've had, absolutely delicious and very filling. The toilets were upstairs and clean.I would highly recommend this restaurant, we had a thoroughly enjoyable evening and look forward to visiting again.

Went to the Old Post Office restaurant for the 2rd( Departed)anniversary and Birthday celebrations of my brother, a sad and happy family gathering.We went for the 2nd time slot ( 14.45) by which time they had run out of the Sunday Roast Chicken, Rideye Steaks and Apple and Berry crumble twice baked . Anyway, the food that was ordered was delicious, ample sizes and free vegetables and gravy top ups available. Very pleasant surroundings.Second visit in 4 months, bigger potions of Porchetta and Hugh Yorkshire pudding,excellent service and delicious food.

Highly recommended for Sunday roast.Amazing food all-round.Service was friendly and prompt.Value is decent considering the quality of the dishes.Vibe is classy and comfortable.
