Boom event planned an incredible party for 140 people. Susanna (founder of Boom) is wonderfully creative. She made the marquee look spectacular & her flower arranging is second to none. Every little detail was meticulously planned. She liaised with all of the suppliers to ensure delivery was timely and sourced great food, DJ etc. She is so experienced in event planning that she not only has great ideas but also knows exactly what to suggest and how to make it happen, meanwhile sticking to budget. We had the best night that couldn’t have happened without Boom.

After our previous wonderful experience with Susanna, I asked her to help us decorate our house for a Halloween Soiree with a Gothic Horror theme. We really wanted to avoid pumpkins, skeletons and all the common Halloween tropes and after her visit to the house and discussion with us about how we wanted to use the various spaces she came up with a Great Expectations/ Miss Havisham's house theme. Susanna is incredibly creative and has great vision. Needless to say, by the time she had set up eerie lighting, candelabra, skulls in glass cases, dead flower arrangements, loads of candles, cobwebs and all manner of greenery and eerie objects the house looked amazing! Susanna has a can-do attitude, is a delight to work with and does not charge nearly enough for the feats of wonder she produces.

Susanna was a wonderful event planner. She brought our vague ideas of what we wanted / didn't want into a concrete plan that expressed us and our preferences perfectly. She has a great network of suppliers who all provided wonderful service on the night. Working with Susanna took a lot of the stress out of the event for us and we couldn't be happier with how it went on the night.

Susanna helped me plan a surprise birthday party and she was brillant. Organized, great suggestions and thoughtful about what I wanted. She was a joy to work with. Would highly recommend her services.

We used Boom Event Planners for our son's bar mitzvah. There aren't a lot of bar mitzvahs in Berkhamsted, let alone ones with 180 guests, so it wasn't a small challenge!!From the beginning Susanna showed her caring, understanding and intelligent approach to everything she did. She is an amazing listener and really got to the essence of what we wanted to achieve in the party. This was demonstrated too many times during the process to list, but was very evident in the selection of suppliers she found who all shared our ethos of friends, family, love and good times.Susanna was also extremely sensitive to our budget and I never felt embarrassed or awkward discussing that side of things with her; in fact, she went out of her way to identify suppliers that gave us maximum impact within the budget we had allocated.Susanna is an amazing combination of incredibly well organised (we share a passion for a good spreadsheet) and also very creative -- we loved how the venue looked on the night (as did everyone else!) and that was all down to her creative flair! I told her that the ultimate evidence of my confidence in her was the fact that I slept like a log the night before the event, as I knew that she had everything in hand.The result was the most perfect evening we could have ever imagined. Fabulous food, fun, and dancing. Everyone felt the love and warmth in the room and all that was made possible by the hard work going on by Susanna and team in the background.Not only would I fully recommend Susanna but I also plan to use her again in three years' time for my daughter's bat mitzvah!!

This is the 2nd event that Susanna has worked with us to plan and somehow, despite Covid and all the other insanity around us, it was even more magical than the first. Susanna is definitely 1 part planner, 1 part therapist, 1 part creative magician. She has a wonderful way of appearing calm at all times, making mad ideas come true, and just bringing the colour to a world that is too often black and white. We are so grateful to Susanna for all her hard work and hope she feels that it paid off on the night. We will definitely use her again for any future events, and tell all our friends to use her too ;)
