We had an amazing time at the Little Retreat - the domes were so cozy and well appointed, the bathroom and kitchen were great and it was so nice to be able to book a massage on site too. The location, views, peace and bird song were incredible. I can't wait to go back!

Beautiful fairytale winter break. We had a roaring fire in the dome, huge bed, beautiful hot shower and the best part was sinking into a steaming wood fired hot tub and star gazing when the ground was covered in sparkling ice. Every morning the sun rose across the estuary and we even managed to take an icy dip in the river. There is something magical about a winter break with a hot tub staring up at a blanket of stars. We wish we could have stayed forever ✨

What a place. And WHAT a location. Beautiful accommodation in the heart of stunning, raw nature. Peaceful, pristine and perfect. And with the added benefit of hosts who couldn't have done more make us feel welcome. The next visit is already in the diary.

This was my first experience Clamping. We had a stormy stay in December which made it feel like camping only you knew the tent was not going to fly away! The warm comfy beds and wood burning stove flickering away made us feel extra smug. I wasn't sure about hot tubs but these wood heated, no pumps, hot tubs so feel natural and I have to say during a break in the weather relaxing in the tub star gazing we really did feel special. (kept the kids busy too!) The separate kitchen and bathroom hut from the tent bedroom works really well. As a sceptic clamper, particularly a winter clamper, Little Retreats may just have convinced me. I can't help but think that the wild, cool conditions only added to the experience and enabled us to maximise much of the retreats features.

Despite only having recently opened, it looks as though The Little Retreats team have spent a huge amount of time thinking about and preparing the experience for their guests. If you are looking for a glamping/pod holiday, there are a number of options nowadays, but precious few will be able to match what they are doing with The Little Retreat.Encased in a wonderful old walled garden, the pods hug the north wall giving you super views over the village church and the estuary beyond. Staggered on a slight incline, the pods have been very well designed with privacy in mind. Each has a grassed garden area where you can pitch your own tent for over-flow family members and the separate kitchen and bathroom facilities are well-equipped and give you everything you need. Unobtrusive small solar panels are dotted around to ensure that the pods are run in as environmentally friendly way as possible. The shower was powerful and instantly hot and the bathroom was constantly warm (a must for this time of year). However, the star of the show was easily the wood-fired Swedish hot tub. Taking only about 3 hours to heat up, you simply load up the furnace and go out for lunch or a walk and it is ready for you when you get back. The team can provide you with as much wood as you need so that you can make it as warm as you like. The pods themselves were seriously comfortable. We were a family of 4 with a Super-king master bed and two singles that neatly slotted along each side. The wood-burner kept the pods toasty and if you want kick back with a film, there is a Smart TV in each room enabling you to log into your own streaming accounts. The fire-pits mean that you can cook over wood outside, if you wish and the wifi was strong enough for anything that we needed to do.If you are planning on heading down to this exceptional part of Pembrokeshire, I would highly recommend you staying at The Little Retreat. However, as there are only 4 of them at the moment, I would get your bookings in early as they will be incredibly popular in 2021.

It is really a relaxing place to spend some good quality time with friends and family. The hot tub takes around 3 hours to get into but it is worth to wait. The inside stove is wood fired and it is nice to hear roaring fire while watching your smart TV which ready to enjoy with connected free Wi-Fi. It it clean tidy well planned you specious private area with a nice view towards to river.I will recommend this place for wedding ceremonies too.The only downside there is no takeaway around to have delivery. You habe to travel 11miles to get any takeaway from wide range of national and independent shopping

Glamping at its best! Nice little touches in the tents with pretty lights on the grounds. Surrounded by nature with a nice little pub serving great food just down the way overlooking the quay. Amber was very friendly and inviting. Great for all ages with good, clean facilities. We found a nice little getaway here and will definitely return.

The Little Retreat
A beautiful, tranquil space to relax. We stayed in the dome, which was bigger than we imagined and beautifully furnished. I loved the quality bedding; my partner loved the log burner. The whole space was very private and well thought out. We made the most of the fab village bakery recommended by Amber for Friday night pizza. The retreat's morning pastries were lovely; it was nice to have homemade jam.
