It was never a nice school, they never seemed to care about anyone getting bullied. They were never any good when it came to things like autism, learning disabilities and mental health problems. They always saw them as undermining things, it was appalling

Run like a regime, bullying is rife among pupils and some teachers, all they are interested in is academic excellence and less about life and pushing subjects that don't really matter!I have just pulled my child out this school for this very reason, some parents ought to be ashamed of the way their children treat others or they don't care because they were bullies themselves at school! The trouble is there are very few choices of schools in the Canterbury area that are any good or haven't already been destroyed by very bad leadership and try to be something they are not!

I attended there in year 7 and had to leave after only 5 months there because of the constant bullying both by the students and sometimes the school staff. Although they have designated a room specifically for people who are struggling with bullying it is there just for show and they do not actually help in any way. There are a lot of genuine people there but it seems like there are far more bullies and people who look to hurt you. One thing I must say though is their excellent performing arts facility which I was part of and enjoyed greatly. Their campus is extensive which is great but there use of the one way system" doesn't help in any way and just makes students retrace their steps to go "the right way".I hope this review helps!"

I have to give the greatest praise to your Caretaker, Mr N Allen, who was so incredibly kind to me. On Friday, 15 December, after my big Aldi shop, I came out to my car and Mr Allen was on his way into Aldi when he came over to me and told me I had a flat tyre. Had he not told me, I would have just got in and driven off as I do not look at my tyres before I drive. Also I have never had a flat tyre before in all my years of driving so it was an unexpected incident. But I knew I would have to call my breakdown people which could mean a wait of several hours. However Mr Allen said it was a puncture, he showed me the nail in the middle tread and he said he could fix it enough for me to drive to Kwikfit to get it repaired. He came over with the special AA electronic tyre pump and told me to put my engine on and he pumped up my tyre. Then he told me to drive only at 20 m/p/hr with hazard lights on (I would not have known to do this) and to go straight to get it repaired. Thanks again to Mr Allen, who was my guardian angel on that day.

Really not teaching curriculum but most crowd control and management more concerned about rating upgrade than wellbeing of students.

Rules are unnecessarily strict, they seem to only care about attendance and the health of the students, trips are overpriced, the school deals with bullying awfully and sometimes felt like they didn't care about people with autism, anxiety etc.

My son currently attends the Canterbury primary school , not only is he doing well academically , he is also involved in competitions on a national level. The school works hard to ensure that every student has the potential to succeed. We have put Canterbury High as our first choice , after attending an open evening visit. We was amazed at what the school is able to provide students with, and it will offer our son, every possible chance to succeed at something.

My son has just finished GCSEs at this school - he scored all As and some Bs. Great teachers - especially in the upper school. They are very caring and supportive. Over the years whenever there has been any sort of issues or problems the teachers respond quickly and sort it out. My daughter also attends and loves the drama programs the school offer. Extra curricular activities is a big plus at this school.

The Canterbury High School is a fantastic school, offering a huge variety of opportunities to ALL of it's pupils. There is a focus on finding the best in every child with a strong belief that all children are good at something. If you want your child to leave school a well rounded person, both emotionally and academically then do not hesitate to send your child here.
