No interaction from Staff. Wasn't even welcomed on entering cafe. Bacon tasted as if it had been cooked in a pan used for cooking something different before. Such a shame. Wait time was very poor considering there were only about 2 tables occupied, both of which had been served before me entering.

My favourite local cafe. Comfortable sitting, (they also have a few armchairs), friendly staff, quality and good value for money food. I love their green tea and smashed avocado with poached eggs with salmon on sourdough bread. A plus is that my dog is welcome there too.

Place has gone seriously down since change of ownership. Prices higher than ever, portions smaller, items from a set meal missing without explanation, owner seems indifferent when asked. They can't cook an egg and the ingredients are of lower quality than before

Perfect cups of decaffeinated coffee at reasonable price. Lots of delicious snacks and cakes on offer.

Asked for a table for one. Was just grunted at yer sit anywhere. The he walked off.Took menu and chose jacket potato with salmon, cream cheese and chives.Went back to order. Had to wait for someone to appear. Ordered food and a Darjeeling. Errr what’s that? Was the reply. Got the tea no milk offered. The was asked if I wanted cream cheese with the potato. (It’s on the menu with cream cheese)Food turns up. No butter or chives potato is just microwaved and over cooked on the bottom. At least 4 teenagers doing the cooking and serving who seem more interested in complaining about customer than working. No napkinsYou can see why they were empty. I won’t be rushing back.In response to the owners reply.Your menu only had one jacket with salmon option, there was no manager to talk to, I rarely write a review (the last was a year ago) yet eat out in many places a week. There is no issue with employing teens but should have a responsible adult. I understand the cost saving of this.

Breakfast felt a little overpriced for a single egg for example, and it was generally a little too oily. The tea was nice though, always a treat to get loose leaf tea. Customer service was lovely though and it had a very good inclusive vibe, which I very much appreciated.

Not good unfortunately. Partner ordered jacket spud with Mediterranean veg. Was told no veg. so she asked for spud with salmon and cheese. After ten mins, told it would take an hour to do.Decided to go for a Greek salad instead.I ordered a hot Cornish pastie. Within 2 mins, the pastie appeared, needless to say, not very warm. My partner suggested I ate it straight away as her salad wouldn’t be long. She was wrong. I finished my pastie and we did ask where the Greek salad was and were informed it was being made.A further 10-15 mins passed and still no salad. We told them to cancel the order. They offered to make it and give it us as a take-away for free but we politely refused.I guess them and us have had better days.
