We had a great three-night-stay with Ian and David and felt home away from home. Beautifully renovated Victorian house with a cosy and very clean room. We enjoyed an outstanding homemade breakfast. Perfect for exploring the city within walking distance.

Ian and David are super kind and attentive hosts, they made sure our stay was as comfortable as possible and made a delicious and fresh breakfast every day (ranging from freshly baked croissants to smoked salmon). Their guesthouse is conveniently located in a quiet area, about a 10-15 minute walk to the city center. The rooms are very comfortable (and quiet!), we slept great and the bathroom is nice as well. Would definitely recommend and return!

We had a lovely stay at Castle Park Guest House. We were warmly welcomed by Ian and David. They took their time to check in and get to know their guests as well as explain the city. It is for sure that they have an eye for detail. They are hosts from all their heart.

We had a wonderful experience at Castle Park Guest House. Ian and David know how to run a guest house and that is shown from the very beginning. Being our first time to Edinburgh, they were most gracious in sitting with us upon our arrival and making recommendations for restaurants, tours, etc. Their suggestions were wonderful. Our guest room had been renovated recently with a comfortable bed and lovely bathroom. Their breakfast service was the best that we've experienced in our travels to bed and breakfasts. The guest house is about a 20 minute walk from the Royal Mile but for us the walk was not at all an issue. We would absolutely stay here again. Thank you for your hospitality Ian and David.

Dave and Ian are the loveliest Hosts you can imagine. They are very courteous and make you feel like home. Rooms are nice and clean, with modern bathroom. The Breakfast is outstanding, homemade toast, eggs, sausage, haggies and everything with a vegan option. Thank you once again.

From the beginning, Ian and David worked hard to make us feel at home. Our room was brilliant, and the mattress and pillows were one of the best that we've ever experienced, we even found ourselves trying to find out the brand! We had only one breakfast unfortunately and it's true, their homemade bread is exquisite. We will definitely come back to this lovely Guest House!

Edinburgh's secret gem! Why would you choose to stay in a chain hotel when you have such amazing hosts as David and Ian, fresh bread with a proper Scottish breakfast and smoked salmon every morning, tea, coffee, a comfy bed, beautifully decorated rooms and modern bathrooms...their attention to detail is second to none. We can't wait to stay again - thank you for such a lovely time!

We couldn’t recommend this place highly enough. David & Ian are superb hosts who are friendly & welcoming, cater to every need, and are extremely knowledgable about the local area. It’s a lovely, easy walk along the local park to the city centre for those who prefer the peace and quiet of something just outside, but still want east access. Additionally (and we visited here on David’s recommendation), the local neighbourhood of Bruntsfield has everything you require for an evening’s dining & drinking. Our room & en-suite were both ample in size, decorated superbly, and always cleaned to an immaculate standard.Quite simply, we look forward to returning for a second stay as soon as we are next in the vicinity.
