The New Surgery
The New Surgery in Folkestone is by far and away the worst GP practice I have ever had the misfortune to use. It is almost impossible to get to see a doctor at the best of times -- this week I was told that all of the doctors were off on annual leave on the same day, so I could only see a nurse who was supposed to be a 'specialist' for what I needed to discuss. When I saw her, she was completely useless and said she couldn't give any help or advice to my problems -- and that I needed to see a doctor. The receptionists seem to enjoy making patients' lives difficult too -- and have zero empathy for their problems. This place really isn't fit for purpose -- avoid it at all costs if you value your health.

Please go elsewhere if you can!!!! I’ve had brain heammorhage and stroke on regular medication for past 18 years to control pain etc. getting my prescription on a monthly basis is hell now waiting for 111 to help for 10th month in a row. It’s a joke. As for 6 monthly check up recommended by neurologist, haven’t had one for 3 years, never get an appointment

The New Surgery has been a great drs to me and my family as we were growing up. The reception staff were always happy to help as well as drs/nurses for various things. It was a shame when we moved out of their catchment area a few months ago.

No chance of getting a doctors appointment at this surgery. You're better off calling 111 or paying to go private. I managed to eventually get an appointment but only with a Nurse (after asking for a doctors appt). I was sent for blood tests and the results have come back. The surgery texted me to tell me to book an appointment with a GP to discuss the results. I phoned up (they answered after 20 mins) to then be told they couldnt book me an appointment because there weren't any appointments available for the next few weeks. I was told to wait a couple of weeks and ring again to see if I could get an appointment some time next month. Appalling! I'm forced into putting in a subject access request for my test results to either try and diagnose myself or to take the results to a private GP. This is not good enough. I have complained formally about this surgery before but no-one seems to care. Excuses after excuses. Avoid at all costs!!!Edit- it took 3 weeks to acknowledge my complaint and Subject Access Request and I still haven't been given the information I have asked for
no one of consequence

I’ve decided I’m going to leave a review of this surgery every time I have need to make use of them. My experience of them has been consistently poor and I’m sick of it.The reception staff are often dismissive, manipulative and acidy. They do not listen and will seemingly do whatever they can to try and fob you off to somewhere else. I’m currently in Folkestone walk in centre because new surgery couldn’t be bothered to handle my 111 referral to them.Doctors can be very hit and miss, also depends what kind of day they are having. Often come off as irritated by your presence.Rarely if ever have appointments available. Will push their online service even when people don’t have the necessary computer literacy or access to a computer. Will often fail to forward relative t medical details to referrals made.Avoid this surgery if you can.

I know it’s been incredibly difficult with doctor’s surgeries recently but an incredible service received from The New Surgery today. I had an e-consult appointment yesterday and have already received a call from the doctor today to assist. The staff in there work incredibly hard and I thank you for what you’ve been doing. Thanks, Lisa

Not sure if this is a Doctors Surgery as its not actually possible to get an appointment, Line constantly engaged and if lucky enough to finally get in a queue you just get cut off after a certain amount of time. Basically not fit for purpose..Update, After an hour of trying I finally got through, was told that no appointments left for today and that I would have to call in again tomorrow. I politely asked why I'm not able to book this now given I'm after my childs results to which the lovely receptionist hung up. Class.

Been calling for 3 days and there are never any appointments. If I could I will give them no stars because they are pointless.
