Such incredible beadwork on a timeless and classic dress.It is always such a pleasure to pop into Connaught Village. Not only is a feast for the eyes, you always feel so welcome and relaxed.Zarha the seamstress, did an incredible job making my dress fit like a glove. I have actually gone back to Zarha to alter my wedding dress into an evening dress, so I can continue wearing it for special occasions. So worth the investment.

After I got engaged, a friend of mine advised me to look at the Eliza Jane Howell website but also warned me that if I did, I wouldn’t want to go anywhere else for my wedding dress…and she was right.I never considered myself to be a traditional bride and as I browsed the various EJH lines online I felt at home, as well as white/off white dresses there are all sorts of other colours and styles to suit any bride.My eyes were quickly drawn to a specific dress and I made an appointment at the store to see it. As soon as I tried the dress on I knew I wanted to walk down the aisle in it (it was a sample size, which I am not, but don’t let this turn you off).The staff at EJH are so knowledgable and fabulous at their jobs, special shout out to Andrea whose genuine love for her job and the brand makes every appointment feel special and exciting.My mum also got her mother of the bride dress from EJH and we now have lovely memories of dress fittings and London lunches together.The shop itself is so beautiful, as a small boutique you have your appointment to yourself and can take the time to browse all the other beautiful accessories the shop has to offer, bags, jewellery etc. Gill Harvey, the designer, has created such a special brand and legacy.If I could give the shop more than 5 stars I would. I cannot thank Eliza Jane Howell enough for saving my wedding day, helping me last minute to secure a dress with just a few weeks to go and your seamstress working around the clock to provide me with the most incredible beaded dress. Everyone asked me 'how I was so calm' given my situation...if it wasn't for you I would not have been!! So huge thank you.

Since getting engaged in 2021, I had saved a photo of the Musetta dress on my phone. After deciding this summer we'd be getting married in September, I contacted Andrea who managed to quickly source the Musetta dress for me. Andrea was incredibly kind and helpful, and made the whole experience very easy and relaxed!
