I only have love for the Edinburgh Bookshop and the staff.Wonderful little bookshop, with an enormous selection of titles. Cozy and homely. My wee one (9) absolutely loves it.The staff are truly amazing. Their knowledge is mind blowing, and they are kind and friendly, and they treat every customer like we have been friends forever ♥️

Lovely bookshop with a great selection of books. For its size it was really impressive. A local treasure. Bus stop is close by and after your visit you can sit down in a coffee shop and start reading.

We really enjoying visiting. The staff are always very friendly & helpful. Despite being relatively small they have a huge selection of books. Anything they don’t have they order in & it comes really quickly.They also have lovely events like the book signing we went to today with Julia Donaldson.Our family highly recommend them.

I love this shop and we've been getting all our books here for years. The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful and always up for a chat. They have a great selection of books crammed into their wee shop, and they're always happy to order something if they don't have it in stock. They often have events and books signed by the authors. I love buying books from the shop as gifts and including the shop's bookmarks so the receiver knows it's from a local shop. It makes the gift more personal and meaningful. Definitely a Bruntsfield institution. Everyone should buy all their books here!

Popped in as I have been trying to buy local and I had a simple desire to buy a book or two with a blue cover. They say you shouldn't judge a book by its cover and this shop exceeded expectations. I have been using the big stores for too long and it seems a bit intimidating to go back into a small shop where people talk and care and you hear little snippets of life whilst you are living your little life and the person behind the till tells you off for not wearing a coat. Lovely place.

After a trying day Christmas shopping with my toddler, I popped here for one of my last gifts. What a relief. The shop was extremely busy, but the staff was super kind to me and my 2 year old (not something that happens in most shops when I enter with a stroppy, hungry small child!) . The junior staff helped me with my query perfectly. I can’t believer how attentive they were given the busyness and me half paying attention to stop said child recking the place. The senior staff gave him stickers, calming me and him down instantly . I’d happily do all my Christmas shopping here every year. Best shop in the area. Thank you for your kindness with all mums and families.
