Smile Dental Care - Poole

Can't recommend this place, the staff are friendly but I don't think the care provided is appropriate really - the dentist did not even examine me at my appointment that I spent an hour getting to in absolute panic as I have a big fear of the dentist and I was left wondering why this could not have been done over the phone as I was just given a prescription (this has previously been done over the phone when I required a different antibiotic so I'm even more confused, seems a waste of the dentist time as well as mine...) I am now going to a different surgery as I felt very uncomfortable about my last experience, especially as I had explained clearly that the problem had gotten worse and I was in a lot of pain so I did really expect to be examined at least briefly. Appointments are literally always available which says a lot really, I think many people have left this surgery and I will too, especially as the last dentist I was with there was actually struck off the register for providing inadequate care! So I would really expect them to be making more effort not less!

I just wanted to leave my comments to say a huge thank you to Nikita. I’m a very anxious patient but she was very kind and explained everything as she was working. I previously had a filling here a few years ago by a different dentist which wasn’t a great experience, but I can honestly say Nikita was brilliant. The composite filling she did for me settled instantly with no pain. I also barely felt the anaesthetic she administered, which was amazing. It’s a shame to see all the negative reviews for this practice, I am sure that these will improve with time now the new team is in place. Thank you again x

Sent by 111 emergency. Left with filling a antibiotics. Receptionist was instructed to put me on list. My filling fell out while driving past Poole Park to go to pharmacy. Pain intolerable, si went home and called Smile Dental Practice. Receptionist would not even pass message to dentist. 111 are sending me elsewhere. In the meantime my antibiotics will runout and i fear reinfection and pain. Can you tell me if i can claim my payment back?

I was referred here by national dentist advisory service following a call to NHS 111. I had a raging toothache from early the previous week. From start to finish they were nothing short of first class. I had to have a tooth extracted and I honestly didn't even realise the dentist had pulled it out! I don't know his name unfortunately but he was very friendly and extremely gentle. It's nigh on impossible to register for an NHS dentist these days but if you are referred here, please don't hesitate to go!

Removed from there system due to there staff cancalling my apointments there end due to covid or what excuse they could thing of, only found out after reciving a email telling me im overdue a check up and to book one, phoned up today after no response via email on muiltable times and the woman on the phone said I was removed due to no appointment in 2 years and they had no idea about the email sent to me absolute joke avoid at all cost

Up until recently I had good things to say about Smile Dental Care, however 2 of the Dentists have made me feel uncomfortable, one of which I had a panic attack and cried whilst sat on the chair.They tried filling forms out incorrectly and getting me to sign.If I had a choice I would be seen by a different dentist, but there is a high demand at the moment and that is not an option currently.Would not reccomend smile dental care.

After the difficulties of covid for patients accessing dental care we were growing frustrated at smile. However 2 weeks ago I got a text reminder to book my checkup. I booked in my family and today we saw the dentist. For my son it was his first dental trip and the dentist was very gentle and kind. Relieved to have everyone checked up. Thanks team smile. I know it has been tough

VERY poor clinical behaviour - bordering on incompetent!I cannot recommend this place in spite of cheery staff - I was given an Emergency Appointment by NHS111 and was not examined (aside a cursory visual check), no x-ray, despite a very deep hole in one of my molars. This led the dentist to fill two teeth and send me on my way. Within 6 hours my face was aching madly, then within 12 hours my jaw started to swell up, restricting my swallowing. Another call to NHS111 with concerns has seen me referred to a different practice, who x-rayed, instantly spotted the very obvious abscess and has prescribed two lots of antibiotics to get my face back to normal, before extraction of the offending tooth.

Sunday evening a filling became loose. It's in the front so very much visible if I smile. I was so stressed out becouse it happened 2 days before an important job interview. I called Smile Dental Care Monday morning, and I got an appointment, same day 11am. I was called in as soon as I arrived, and my filling has been replaced immediately. The quality of the new filling is superior comper to the old one, amazing smooth job. The staff super friendly and helpful, they saved me from awful stress and anxiety. Thank you so much!

I was referred here by the NHS to get my tooth’s other half to be filled in and the dentist did it way too low and I can’t eat anything
