Absolutely amazing old style sweet shop where you can buy quarters (or the metric equivalent!) Brought back some great childhood memories

A huge choice of sweets and some very delicious flavours in locally produced ice cream. Rather nice posh chocolates too.They have a rather good selection of Irn Bru flavoured sweets!

Got everything I want,brilliant wee shop.

After a moderately long canoe trip I needed ice-cream. Some friends suggested we have pie instead but I was simply craving ice-cream too much. My friend Louisa suggested that the sweet shop down the road would sufficient my craving. So alas we walked 200feet down the road and I was able to procure a single scoop of gingerbread ice-cream. I can honestly say that my life is better because of it!

Folks with sugar addiction had better avoid this place. It is a mecca of sweets, everything from traditional to more modern varieties. I'm all for jelly beans and fizzy Cola bottles. If the sweets are not enough of a sugar rush, ice creams are also available!

Great range of sweets. Very friendly, helpful staff but for us the great attraction is the Glen Urr ice cream which is available in a wide range of flavours to eat in cones or tubs and in take home packs. In my opinion this is the best ice cream in the area.

So disappointed. Their website said they close at 5PM. We drove from Jedburgh to Castle Douglas for the one and only reason. To buy mixtures. We got there just after 4PM and it was closed. We understand that public places hours will be different due to covid-19 and new cleaning regulations in place but, please, update your website accordingly. It was even more annoying with 2 members of staff inside, looking at us, then turning their backs, knowing full well, that we were confused with their door locked, the sign turned round to say closed, but right underneath that sign, was another sign, giving potential customers the closing time, which was 5PM. As I stated earlier, we arrived just after 4PM to a closed store. Please, update your website accordingly

The best ice cream/sorbet in the World!

The shelves are stacked from top to bottom with jars of sweets. Not only a lot of my favourites, but, also favourites I didn't know still existed. There's also a wide variety of shortbread, presevatives and little souvenirs. Everything reasonably priced. It's the only place I will spend 30 minutes in a car on a blazing hot day to get to.
