My first visit on Saturday whilst attending the cities Christmas Market.We waited inside the door to be seated, where a lovely member of staff greeted us and we were shown to a choice of tables upstairs. There were traditional tables and chairs, comfy seats, sofas, and high bar style seating to choose from. The internal art deco feel was impressive with a degree of opulence.There was a good range of meals and light bites on the menu. We both opted for the fish finger sandwich. We opted to order using the QR code at the table, but one of required the removal of some ingredients. This meant having to go downstairs to order at the bar, which we didn't mind with an obvious emphasis on notifying of allergies and intolerance issues. Armed with the table number I went to the bar and placed the order.Our food arrived, it looked fabulous, although I was disappointed to find the items we has specifically asked to be left off were on the plate. So they were now on the table and destined for the kitchen bin. The sandwiches were as fabulous as they looked and hot, the sweet potato fries however were just warm. Our hot drinks were spot on.The service was good. It was clean. We did not feel rushed. The toilet facilities upstairs were good and clean, although a little chilly. It was snowing outside mind.I would definitely go again for drinks and to try the cake, but I'm not convinced about the hot food.

Lovely place and food was delicious, staff were very friendly. Easy to order food by scanning the qr code on table. Maybe in the future a app could be made to order etc. Will definitely be back.

The food we had was really lovely and the vegan menu was excellent. The staff were very friendly and attentive and our order arrived quickly. The only disappointing and slightly confusing thing was that there was a deal advertised on the vegan menu where a glass of wine was given, free of charge, with a burger on a certain night of the week. However, when I asked for a glass of vegan rose wine I was advised that there was no vegan wine available. Perhaps if a deal is being offered, on the vegan menu, for a free glass of wine then vegan wine needs to be available.

Great place for cocktails and tapas. The service and speed at which you revived your drinks and food was slick despite it only being their second day open and the place was packed. However because the tables are nicely spaced out you don’t notice how busy it is and the ambience is perfect. We opted for 12 plates of tapas and some sides for the 4 of us all nicely washed down with some great cocktails. Food and drinks menu is extensive so something for everyone on the menu. Highly recommend and look forward to visiting again.

I was unable to make a reservation for 4 people, so we turned up around 7 pm on a Saturday evening. The chap who met us at the door was in a stained grey jumper. He asked if we were OK to sit upstairs, which we were. To order, you could use the app or at the bar downstairs. The menues are on A3 pieces of paper. We chose the app. We ordered 4 different drinks, and I ordered the pineapple and passion fruit daquari, there was no passion fruit. I asked the server who brought our drinks, if I could have a glass of water. He pointed and told me it was over there. I looked at him, and he said he'd get me a glass. He didn't ask anyone else if they would like a glass. The food is also ordered on the app. It arrived quickly. The waitress was very dour. The temperature of the food was tepid at best. No one came to ask if everything was OK. It was hard to differentiate between staff and the customers who, by the look of their outfits, had come from the firework display. The staff were not wearing name badges. Unfortunately, the decor is the best bit about this establishment. It was a very disappointing experience.

Lovely place. Carlisle desperately needed a contemporary place like this that serves warm food all day. Love the decor and vibe, service was prompt and friendly. Food and drinks were okay, which puts it head and shoulders above most places in Carlisle honestly. Overall lovely place we plan to frequent.

Ordered at 6pm and thought the place looked great, wasn't quiet but not overly busy. Ordered with the QR code surprised that half of the menu was unavailable and waited about 25 minutes for the food to start coming but hadn't had our drinks yet. Just 4 cokes so nothing special. Asked the waiter and they said they won't be long. One of the steaks was supposed to be medium rare but was blue so sent it back. By the time the steak came out again it was 6.45 and everyone else had finished not to mention still no cokes. The steak was even less cooked than before so at that point there was no point sending it back again so asked for a refund for that dish and the drinks which never came even by the time we left at 7pm. As we were leaving we were surprised at how empty the downstairs was. In disbelief how they couldn't bring up 4 bottles of cokes in an hour when the bar was empty. Should really have a booking system if they can't manage a mid week evening. Shame as it was nice Inside and the menu looked impressive but won't be returning.

We waited a while to get seated then waited again absolutely ages after ordering our coffees. We were brought our toasted teacakes straight away but had finished those ages before the coffee arrived, after having to ask twice when we were getting them ! The coffee was excellent when it arrived. Think they need more staff or at least staff that are more interested in working.We shan't be back.
