My grandmother has been a resident at a brighterkind home for around 2 years. The first year she received what I would class as very good care. From very good, competent caring staff. In the last 6 months during lockdown periods where close up visits have been impossible she had I believe 4 safe guardings placed over her from social services due to a lack of visits from chiropodist over a period of months not weeks, grandmother is diabetic and although in the brigherkind investigation of the matter say her wellbeing was never in danger I would argue that leaving a diabetic person in this condition (see photo) she ran the risk of her skin being broken on her feet of her nails tearing, as they were, and making open wounds where infection could get in. Let alone the discomfort (see photo of feet). this could result in the loss of limbs and often does. Brighter kind have issued an apology within their investigation of the matter saying in hindsight they should have had a chiropodist out sooner. see image of condition that her nails and skin. You wonder with so many professional carers and nurses, some with decades of experience how this slipped being flagged in handover after handover for months. Other safe guardings were issued for a major fall that landed her in hospital having head scans. Night staff not wearing PPE around the home, and night staff sleeping on duty. All these safeguarding were put in place at the same time. While these homes do a good job you need to be constantly aware of the condition and wellbeing of your relative and not rely on the home to give the care you expect or they deserve.Grandmother now has revised care plans in place and we monitor her wellbeing much closer.Regarding recent feefo platinum awards to brighterkind one should remember this 'feefo' review organising and managing site is paid by brighterkind. feebo also just awarded a horse feed company an award.... Feedmark pet supplies... feebo must be very qualified in knowing good care companies when they see them.Would I recommend brighterkind.Well YES! ... i am sure there is far worse about.but... be aware and monitor and keep a very close eye ... dont become confident with any company that are doing such an important job will always do what they are meant toIn addition to this review.. my grandmother passed away at 92 peacefully at woodbury house.. the care she received was good and I was able to stay with her ..... brighter kind emailed (see screen shot snap below)me 3 weeks later inviting me to come and be a resident. They didn't take the time to send a condolences card but managed to send a promotional email for me to move in and be cared for 5 days before her funeral.. great timing guys. Maybe I can have my nans old room....... tut tut

I used to be part of the wbh and I have my worst experience with some colleagues and incharge especially the one of the incharge from one unit .. I dont want to point on her work but besides her work she is very unprofessional , nosy and always creates conflicts between the carers , since the very first shift in the house I didn’t got that vibe from her .. she has got split personality she talks one thing in front of her team and again goes back and talks another with the management , very very nosy and does favourism all the time , one of the big reason leaving wbh is her as well.. favourism groupism will not take her anywhere , she should be professional .. thank you
