A village pub tucked away in a quite remote hamlet, it goes to show that if you're good you'll have customers.We went for a Sunday lunch, we were put in the conservatory which felt a bit bland and would have preferred the main pub area (divided into various areas) but obviously we were at the tail end if the bookings.Service was prompt and the lunch was good with decent starters and a good Sunday roast.

Great locals pub which although part of a chain doesn’t feel like it. Staff were friendly, helpful and seemed like a happy team. Fresh milk for tea/coffee instead of UHT was a nice touch & the shower was excellentGoodfod & beer / wine

The manager was very nice and friendly. Decent beers and choice of food. Rooms decent for the price. Breakfast tasty and filling. Great country type pub that I'd visit again.

We stopped off for a night on route elsewhere and we were pleasantly surprised with the Wheatsheaf Inn! Staff were welcoming and very accommodating of us and our dog. The room was nice and comfortable. We also had dinner which was absolutely beautiful. The area is nice and quiet surrounded with lovely scenery and some nice walks.

Andy was a complete gent and allowed us to cancel our booking due to the severe snow. He was really kind and polite and restored our faith in humanity! We will return, probably in Summer though!

I had a bar meal here with some friends on Tuesday. The staff were fantastic and friendly. The food was delicious with quick service and the staff were very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. I would highly recommend this establishment.

Wow what a lovely venue, just right for a relaxing couple of days away from work.Bar staff both day and evening were very welcoming and friendly.Lovely cosy venue and the food was amazing, prices were very reasonable and the selection of drinks and food was a wide variety and plentiful.Room was lovely and no issues with heating for the time of year, very clean, shower easy to use and both setting are ideal.TV small but saying that there is plenty of channels so I would rather comprise on size then quality.Excellent night sleep bed and bedding was just right. Good time for breakfast which is excellent, see pictures for full breakfast, again very filling.

We ate here on a Saturday night and booked in advance.A lovely dog friendly pub which serves tasty food.Highly recommend the Cumberland Sausage and Mash.Great childrens menu.
