Beautiful walk, the views are spectacular. Sheep just walk around ewe and are clearly used to people being close to them.

Interesting nature reserve with information boards. Lovely views. Choice of 3 walks of varying lengths along the valley or on top of the fell. Worth a visit.

Hedleyhope Fell nature reserve is a fantastic spot for dog walking! The paths are well-maintained and easily navigable, making it a delightful experience for both dogs and their owners. However, be cautious when sheep and cows are present, as they add an extra element of excitement, but require careful navigating. Overall, it's a great place to enjoy nature with your furry friend! The views are stunning

Bracing wind is probably to be expected - there's a reason they've installed several large wind turbines just the other side of the road. It's a nice, hour-ish walk around the fell, very achievable even by a fat lad like me. Look out for the sheeps. Don't stare at them, you'll spook them.

It happened that I was travelling from Middleton in Teesdale, home to the south of England but I wanted to look for Bumblebees. As I arrived a group was being led to do just that. I joined them and saw for the first time Heath Bumblebees. The site is extensive with a fine view. Very interesting.

Disappointing today as it's a nice and quiet place to walk my 3 dogs but unfortunately there were cows up by the footpath so I wouldnt dare at this time of year In case they have calfs. Don't want no protective momma cow chasing me.
