Ocean Torbay MINI

Bought a mini 2 years ago. We weren't aware of the timing chain issues with Cooper S that are well known within the trade. To cut a long and expensive story short we had to replace half the engine. 1900 pounds to sort the problem. Best bit was Mini Torbay supplied a duff part and would not accept our engineers word as we failed to mention it at the time. (Too many parts to remember).Totally disappointed with the whole Mini experience. Overpriced and unreliable, service lacking in empathy for the customer.

Excellent service from the team at Ocean Mini today. I called them at short notice to report an issue with my car, the booked me in for the next day and even gave me a lift into Paignton whilst my car was being fixed. They called me when it was ready to collect and they even washed and hoovered for me at no extra charge. Would highly recommend them.

Great mini sales TEAM but after sale department disappointed. Not really making you feel important just a number. Has put me off coming back

I’m afraid I cannot recommend Ocean Torbay Mini. I booked service for my mini online, then was called to reschedule for two weeks later. Fine. I booked courtesy transport, was told on arrival it was not available. Fine. I arrived at 8.30am and was told the car will be ready after lunch. I went to the reception desk at 2pm to be told they haven’t started working on the car yet. Appalling communication, poor customer service. I have been driving different cars in 4 countries for over 20 years, this is the worst service I have experienced. Wasted the entire day. This is very disappointing as there are many positive reviews online, yet my experience was negative. The person at the reception desk was arrogant. It is not their job to mislead customers and waste their time. Ended up spending ALL day waiting for my car to be serviced.

This is without doubt the best Mini / BMW dealership I've ever experienced. Customer Service is over and beyond. Wouldn't go anywhere else and this place isn't local to me.

My Mini was serviced here. A few issues:- Asked for a wash, car not washed or vacced.- Agreed a discounted quote, charged the original.- No vehicle health check report (always given to me at Sytner).OK other than that.

Excellent prompt efficient friendly service. John is professional and helpful, he helped me retrieve my list log book. Really positive experience.
