Crown Decorating Centre - Blackpool

Visited Crown Decorating Mowbray Drive, Blackpool today and was served by Colin - what a lovely, helpful chap. Could not fault his service so thank you.

Visited this morning for a 1 litre can of Palladian 11 Gloss. Excellent and friendly service, paint mixed there and then, good price and quality.

Went in wanting to paint our hall which was dark blue and I mean dark blue ceiling and walls but on some walls had a beautiful blue and white paper which we don’t want to lose.We were advised to use an undercoat which we would only need one possible two coats of and then a silk.Having bought a cheaper paint to cover a battleship grey ceiling and it took 9 coats you can understand why I doubted him.2 possibly 3 coats! No way.Anyway I wish I could put a picture up on this review as yes 1 undercoat 1 top coat and I now have a beautiful bright and airy hall which is a wonderful entrance to the rest of the house.We’ve learnt our lesson it’s definitely worth paying a bit more because what you save on a cheap paint you then spend in time having to put a lot more coats on.Brilliant advice and great customer service. Won’t go anywhere else from now on

Not very helpful at all. Didnt help us with choosing paint. Sarcastic comment about amounts. They didnt know how to use the voucher that we had too. Not a very good expirience.

I called in this morning for 2 x6 litres of emulsion and 1x2.5 litre of paint. I asked how much 5 litre was he replied double the price of 2.5 which they didn't have.I struggled to carry 3 tins ,no help was offered so I left a tin on the counter and after loading the car returned for the other tin, I said thanks but no reply from the staff member. I felt it was too much trouble and wont use this shop again.
