Wandering through this museum is like flipping through the pages of a captivating novel. Each exhibit unfolds a new chapter in the story of human achievement and creativity.

Our family love visiting. The museum is run by very friendly and knowledgeable volunteers. There’s a small fee to enter but parking on site is free. Always great displays for the family as well as mini train ride and tractor ride out to the windmill. Plenty of space to have a picnic or buy very reasonably priced food from the cafe. Minimal vegan options. Vendors also there selling homemade bits. Can easily spend a couple hours here.

Overall a great place to visit the staff are generally friendly and informative…..But being told you can’t get off halfway on the tractor ride to the windmill and walk into the village ( because of insurance?) is a bit daft and infuriating , spoilt what was a great visit

What a great place! We went there on Easter Monday to meet with family and had a really great time. Lots to see and do for all ages. My favourite was the Lancaster cockpit, but the static engine display was also brilliant..

We visited the museum open day and it was a fantastic, immersive and educational experience. The volunteer staff were tremendously welcoming, patient and gave us a feeling that we are valued and welcome. There was a huge veriety of activities to do, see and experience and all the exhibits were well maintained and accessible. We had a wonderful family day out and we look forward to coming back next year.

Very interesting if you are from the area. Also great to chat with people about their displays. Took my mum last year who loved looking at the things she remembered from her childhood. Went with my sister this time. She had a go at bobbin lace making and bought a starter kit at a very reasonable price. Also had a go at pottery I had a go at rug making. Something I'll take up in winter.

What a charming historic heritage museum to visit reminiscent of a bygone age. There are exhibits from nineteenth century farming and agricultural equipment to a unique early twentieth century sawmill. Additionally there is a fantastic collection of vintage TV and radio sets including wartime radio receivers and oscilloscopes. Children are fascinated by a comprehensive collection of early Amstrad and Sinclair computers with working games including paddle tennis! There are also craft shops selling intrinsic items, clay and lace making, there is in fact too much to list. There is a separate exhibit of a well known Lutonian engineer who collected a lot of memorabilia during his career and time with Hayward Tyler a famous Luton engineering company. Add to that tractor rides, classic cars and lots more making this museum a must for a great day out.You will need to visit their website to establish when they are open as the museum is run entirely by volunteers and appears to only be open two Sundays a month and on Bank holidays

What a find. Great place to visit for old and young. Lots of memories for us oldies and lots for youngsters to learn about. All volunteers ate great very friendly. Not as expensive as lots of places and good selection of goodies in the cafe at very reasonable prices. Places to picnic also.
