Freewave Surf Academy - Surfing Lessons at Summerleaze in Bude, Cornwall

We booked with Freewave Surf Academy for a session as a family (Mum, Dad and the girls 8 & 9). We all have different water confidence levels and abilities but the team designed our session perfectly making sure all of us got the most out of our surf and the tuition. The equipment was all new without signs of wear which has been the case elsewhere previously. The team made it fun for all making one of the standout activities we have all done together! I cant recommend these guys highly enough, we will definitely being using you again...thank you Robin!!!!!

My two youngest (5 and 6) went for their first surfing lesson with Marco from Freewave on a private session.They were super excited, but Marco was very patient with them. They both did a lot better than I expected them to with Megan even managing to stand up and Charlie very close. Marco towed Charlie out each time which saved his energy for riding the waves in. The instructions Marco gave were super clear and this has given me and my wife confidence to take the kids out ourselves in the future.

Fantastic surf lesson with Robin. Top guy, super personable, organised and a great instructor. I couldn't recommend more highly! Looking forward to my next lesson.

Having now had a couple of lessons with the Freewave team, I feel my water confidence as well as ability to stay on the board have significantly improved. Would recommend for all abilities :)

Robin and Marco were amazing surf coaches! They have really clear instructions, helpful advice and kept us safe in some more challenging conditions. They were super friendly and kept things lighthearted and fun. We’ve had other surfing lessons before, and this has definitely been our best experience. If you’re looking for surf lessons at Widemouth Bay or the Bude area, these are the guys for you!
