I never like travelling through Bristows. Always treated like mindless sheep. Everything about bristows is impersonal. They say it is for safety, but it is well over the top!

Only a good place to be when you are returning home. Also, I don't want to come across as racist but the security search folk are great apart from one black woman who is basically the most racist person I have ever met. She is rude and unnecessary obtuse and doesn't even put stuff back in your bag properly. There is no way she should be customer facing. In fact, get rid of her as she is bringing the rest of the place into disrepute. You know who I am talking about.

Security staff are an absolute joke. Clear attitude problem, seem to resent the guys going offshore for some reason. Literally make it up as they go along with regards to what can and can't go and seem to have more knowledge than the government and qualified doctors over what is or isn't classed as medication. 2 in particular are absolute clowns, the inconsistency with security and immature attitude problem are turning people off. This needs to be addressed when they're scratching heads as to why they're nearly begging people to go offshore these days. No respect for people's property or any visible brain activity going on. Zero of these issues mobilising in Norwich or Den Helder, don't see why Dyce thinks it's so special. I try and avoid flying out of Dyce like the plague due to these people and their inability to do their jobs. Can't fault the check in staff though, they're spot on.

Bristows is one of the main hubs for folk working Offshore in the oil & gas industry who work away to make a living. The heliport itself is clean & comfortable. There are toilet facilities. There are areas to obtain refreshments inside. However, upon going through security & having bags checked some of the security can be somewhat very over the top. This can be a very negative experience to say the least & it is down to the mannerism by certain individual and the lack of people skills at this point.Maybe they are new & lack the experience of dealing with people.I find it very disturbing and offensive considering I have been travelling Offshore for many years and have not experienced such disregard or care for people's personal possessions.I understand checks must take place not a problem at all. However folk are only travelling to work. You are not the gestapo or the police. Treat people with a bit of decency & respect. There are many folk away from home away from there families.Treat people in a dignified way at the very least and have respect for people's personal items and clothing and put it back the best you can as you found it please. We are all humans and expect to be treat as such. Not to much to request now is it....

Being a grumpy old beggar that has preferred working on boats than platforms for last 10 years, I have to summarise the Bristow experience outbound is far from a pleasure, but after any time spent on a platform or rig offshore, the sound of that chopper when coming home is the best.

Security check not allowing smartwatch-steps counter hurts as these days fitness is of prime importance. Some people are allowed, others stopped. Need to have consistency please.

Check in staff faultless and no issue to deal with. Subcontract security checkers though really need a reality check. ill treating customers and belittling attitude from some staff members. Every time I come here I feel like I’m being treated as a criminal. Very over the top security that need a reality check. We are going offshore on an oil rig or boat not some international drug run. As I said check in staff brilliant and faultless security is a joke.

Security is way too excessive and the operation is very slow and communications very very bad, left in total limbo about flights more often than not. Bring back Broomfield house... I have missed so many flights home due to the baggage carrousel at Bristow... Think of a food truck handing out emergency food supplies and the fights for the food... That don't even come close to Bristows baggage carrouselUpdate 22/08/23Today I had a terrible experience at 5he bag checking area at Bristows in Aberdeen.Singe" the female bag checker checked my bags. She was extremely rude and unhelpful

Not the friendliest of staff, adequate is the way to best describe the experience here, their interpretation of certain things leaves a lot to be desired.Very poor understanding of what is and isn't allowed, also at security they obviously think they can make decisions on medication, still not sure when doctors decided to quit their surgeries and start working at the bag search area.
