Meadowbank Guest House

Absolutely delightful hosts. Beautiful location, backs right onto Loch Portree. Deliciously prepared breakfast that sets you up for full day of hiking and sight seeing. Short 8 minute walk to town. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and the hospitality we received.

Fab B&B, hosts awesome, they knew lots about Skye and provided a lot of helpful info in the book in our room and in the breakfast room. Our room was comfy and clean, and very very excellent breakfasts each day. Would definitely recommend. Open April till October I believe.

We had a lovely room with a sea view and plenty of storage space as well as our own bathroom with large shower and towel dryer. The best part of our stay was our lovely hosts Peter and Elaine, who gave us great recommendations, helped with luggage and wet things and made our stay sweet with their warm hospitality! The guest house is just outside Portree, which is about a 10 minute walk away. It was pleasantly quiet. Since there is not much room for many guests, we were able to talk to other guests during breakfast in the beautiful conservatory. It is also good to watch the birds in the garden or browse through one of the books. For breakfast, you can choose from a rich Scotish breakfast the evening before. This is freshly prepared by Elaine in the morning, so it takes a while. But we were always treated to coffee and could already take flakes, yoghurt and fruit from the buffet. There are two breakfast times: 8:00 and 8:30. We enjoyed our stay very much and can only recommend it!

We stayed for two nights with our friend as part of an Inner Hebrides Cycling Tour. Accommodation was PERFECT and our hosts were PERFECT. A short walk into Portree for our meals in the evening and breakfast was first class. Lovely views of the bay from the back garden and for cyclists secure storage for our bikes. I cannot recommend more highly

Stayed here for two nights in June. The hosts were really friendly and helpful in pointing out the sights to see. (We would have missed the dinosaur footprints otherwise.) And they whipped up a fantastic breakfast every morning, served in a bright room in front of their lovely garden. Just take note though that the rooms are on the second floor, so be prepared to lug your luggage up a flight of stairs.

My mom and I stayed at Meadowbank Guest House during our stay on Isle of Skye, and were very happy with our room and the location! It's a short walk to the restaurants and shops in Portree, and a great location for day trips on the island. Our room was clean, nicely decorated, and the view from our window was beautiful! The breakfast was delicious and served in a beautiful sun room. Peter & Elaine were so friendly and helpful! I would stay with them again if I were ever so lucky to be on Isle of Skye again!

We stayed in one of the rooms in the annex. The room is very small but cozy. The WiFi was spotty at best so we just used our own portable Skyroam WiFi hotspot. It is in a nice location. Only an easy 10 minute walk to the city center. Breakfast was hot choices to order and a buffet of cold items including fresh fruit and yogurts. Breakfast is served in a wonderful glassed-in gazebo with views of their gardens and bird feeders.

Peter & Elaine are delightful. The view was spectacular. Room was very clean & comfortable. Breakfast in the morning was delicious. This accommodation is tucked away in a quiet little corner but still walking distance to the main shopping/restaurant area of Portree & they have free parking included. Would highly recommend.

One of the best B&Bs that we stayed at in Scotland! The beds were comfortable, the hosts were friendly but not intrusive, the breakfast was VERY good (also loved that breakfast nook), and it's easy walking distance to a few restaurants in town. The bathroom room got a bit cold, but it wasn't terrible.

A home away from home...The rooms were comfortable, immaculate and very well serviced. The food is fantastic and the hosts Peter and Elaine are absolutely lovely people who will ensure that everything is in place for you to have an enjoyable stay on the island and offer a smile (even when you turn up wet and covered in paint from a busy day of filming prep!).The facilities were great and I couldn't have asked for a more warm and cosy place to stay.
