POOR SHELF LIFE - I used Plumbs a number of times over the years but this year in the spring and summer I was continually being delivered milk that would only last 2-3 days before going sour. Finally, in August I was delivered milk that had gone off by the NEXT DAY!! I emailed a complaint, pointing out that I had experienced the same problem on other occasions and all I received was an email to all customers saying they had had a problem with their supplier...I was not responded to about the other times the milk had soured and there was no refund of the milk that had gone off in 24 hours.I decided to stop my deliveries for a while, partly because I was about to go on holiday but also to wait until cooler weather in case that was the problem...but when I went to restart it they had deleted my account!! I can only assume it was because I had complained.I have now found another milk delivery service and I am pleased to say that their milk is delivered in a much fresher condition.It is a real shame, because I wanted so much to support a small local business but the poor milk quality and complete lack of customer service with Plumbs Dairy means I will never use them again and I recommend anyone considering using them to find an alternative!

I was very grateful to get onto Plumbs list early on during the pandemic. Everything was fine for a few months, but more recently the service has gone seriously downhill. The milk turned sour quite quickly and way before the use by" date. This was before the recent spell of very hot weather. I asked that they place the milk in my cool bag

Switched to Plumbs after being given the run around by a certain other M&more company, so much better, customer service is great and the milk actually arrives!

100% reliable service and always very friendly. We never actually met our milklady, Alison, as she delivered during the wee hours but she used to leave us hand-knitted Christmas baubles (which we still hang on the tree!) and hand-written notes which was a lovely touch. We’ve moved away now but we miss our Plumbs’ milk deliveries! Highly recommended, could not fault them.

Totally reliable doorstop service. Would strongly recommend them. Supply a wide range in addition to standard diary products.

We used plumbs dairy for 10 years when we lived in Ely. We have just moved out of the area and I am sad we can't use them anymore. I would definitely recommend! Very reliable. Not a single order wrong the whole time including through the Covid panic buying. And a Christmas card from Dean every year.

I have used the Plumbs Dairy for many years. It is so lovely to wake up to a fresh bottle of milk on your door step. They are happy to deliver a pint of milk each day. No delivery charge!Such a lovely service.

Started using plumbs dairy a couple of months ago. I like the idea of using less plastic, sourcing as local food as possible and supporting local businesses. During lockdown I was on a waiting list, which I was not so unexpected given the circumstances. After they contacted to say we had been accepted, have had a great experience so far. We tried different products and delivery days and all came on time and as expected. Paying is easy. The website is easy to use. It's easy to change your orders. The quality of the milk has been great. No complaints. Thank you plumbs dairy.

I have been a customer for about 18 years and I don’t think customer loyalty counts for much with this company. I emailed them a few weeks ago to say my milk is frequently sour and they didn’t have the courtesy to reply. The milk I had delivered this week was unusable by the next day. I have now left a note for the milkman but I think I am going to have to give up on this local business.

In the few weeks we were receiving deliveries from this company, they charged us for deliveries we never asked for (and never got) multiple times. They did always cancel the bills for these, but it was annoying to have to keep studying the bill minutely every time it arrived. The milk does taste better than supermarket milk, but doesn't keep as long, probably as it's not sealed as supermarket milk is. The online ordering system was good, but it wasn't easy to link up with the account I created in person to start with.
