Elaines Stoves & Flues

We purchased or Woodwarm stove a few years ago from Elaine's Stoves. The service at the time was excellent as was the recommendation of a qualified fitter. Following the chimney being swept it started to smoke and setting off the smoke alarm when the door was opened. A visit to Elaine's Stoves soon identified that the baffle had been replaced incorrectly. A lesson in how to fit it properly paid off and our stove is back to its wonderful self!! Thank you so much to the helpful and knowledgeable lady in the shop ; I think it is Chris but huge apologies if I have got your name wrong.!

As always, Elaine is a font of knowledge, helpful and pleasant with it. Would always recommend her for her knowledge of woodburning stoves.

Elaine offers a wealth of knowledge when it comes to wood burning stoves, their application & installation! She has a massive showroom with a huge variety of stove on display - I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Elaines Stoves & Flues to anyone - worth the trip to Okehampton!

Ordered and paid in full for Woodwarm woodburner & pedestal in May and was told it would take 3-4 weeks to be delivered. After 4 weeks I rang to be told it was the next stove in. I rang weekly after that and was given a different excuse every time as to why it hadn’t arrived. Finally this week I decided to approach the manufacturer ‘Woodwarm’ to ask them what the hold up was. They were very helpful and asked me to contact the Stove Centre at South Molton as they supply Elaine’s Stoves which I had not previously been aware of. The Stove Centre had the stove I’d paid Elaine for in stock but could not release it to me as Elaine had not paid for it! Today we went into Elaine’s stoves to get this finally sorted and Elaine did pay the Stove Centre and we went and picked up the woodburner ourselves. Elaine gave no apology or explanation of her behaviour. We have been made aware that we are not the only people this has happened to. My recommendation is to avoid Elaine’s Stoves at all costs and go straight to the Stove Centre at South Molton as they did everything they could on our behalf to ensure we would get what we had paid for all those weeks ago.
