Holiday Inn Newcastle - Gosforth Park, an IHG Hotel

Great location, friendly staff, swimming pool nice. Only down side too bright light from car park shining in the room all night. Also husband got a steak asked for slowly well done. Came tough, charcoaled and the taste was like it had been used in oil that was old.

We stayed here to break up a long journey. Our experience was excellent. Although the hotel doesn't look very attractive from the outside, it has lots of facilities and great decor inside and in the spacious bedrooms. Most importantly the staff are excellent. Without exception, every member of staff was genuinely friendly and looked as if they enjoyed working at the hotel. We also visited the leisure centre which was an added bonus: decent swimming pool, steam room, sauna and jacuzzi. The hotel is conveniently close to the A1 but it is surrounded by trees and very quiet. I would stay again.

The hotel is a little plain from the outside but inside its really nice, clean and well presented. The rooms are a good size and the beds were nice and comfortable. We didnt eat in the restaurant but the location of this hotel is ideal and its really easy to find and park here.

Really good impression as pulled up to hotel, lovely reception area with friendly, polite welcome and check in. Loved the interior decor and room was immaculate with everything I needed. Great location for the wedding we were attending. Breakfast and check out not at silly o' clock so didnt have to rush.Did not expect all this for the price, would definitely book again.

Attended for a Spa day with my sister and mam. The staff were all very helpful and friendly, especially so surrounding my food allergies which they catered for (made something that wasn’t on the standard menu for me).We all had a lovely time. A 30 minute treatment each, lunch, robes & towel provided, Jacuzzi, sauna, steam room & pool.Only let down we’re some rowdy couples who got in the pool meaning we cut our day short.It was nice to see the pool area being used for an elderly keep fit session when we arrived (it was a small group), and also some older people who had a membership using the facilities.I would certainly repeat our experience.

The whole experience of our trip was enjoyable. The hotel good and very clean and modern. Breakfast very good. Evening meal let us down . We had to pre order our evening meal which was after 7pm. Then queue for our main course. I ordered stir fry vegetable The waiter struggled to give me a spoon full and no veg was in it ,just noodles in a runny oil.There was fish and sausage ,which I didn't want to repeat . A lady opposite wasted hers .Its a shame ,other wise perfect.
