Absolutely spotless,large room. Booked online while travelling as a stopover . One of the owners called me within an hour to confirm that our dogs were welcome and key would be waiting for us .Excellent location . Will definitely use again and recommend ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We had a Lovely birthday meal here.Very friendly staff and they made us feel more than welcome.Lovely decor, a real country pub.Different themed nights to cater for lots of different people.Will return again soon.Thank you.

Had the steak and ale pie which was lovely, however veg was a little cold and would of liked a few more chips. Overall enjoyed it but could of got 5 stars if warmer and a little more.

Very reasonable. Fantastic breakfast. Such lovely people who shipped and carried us to a local hotel for a wedding reception and back again. Not luxurious but very comfortable with lovely countryside around but not far from a main road connection.Everything done to make the stay a happy one.

First time we've been here. Visited last night with my wife and 3 other friends. There was a warm atmosphere in the pub with a nice mix of locals and visitors. Service was great. Food was brilliant and kitchen were very accommodating to one of our parties dairy free needs. Portions were generous and vegetables were perfectly cooked, not mushy having sat for hours. We all ate well for reasonable pub prices and will definitely be back again soon.

Very comfy bed and cosy room. Lovely staff and a decent breakfast. Good value for money and a great stop off place for on our way to The Cairngorms

When searching for a hotel and cafe/restaurant to utilize for the pilot episode of The Thistle Legacy, we went with the most logical. In keeping with my desire to help highlight the Dumfries/Galloway area, the Kinmount Hotel is perfect. Carol and her staff are very accommodating and helpful. We got the scenes filmed that we needed, and as the creator/writer, I would love to help them by including more scenes in further episodes, if they'd allow it.

This is a lovely family run business with fantastic pub food that is reasonably priced and overall has a very friendly atmosphere. The owners are refurbishing the hotel bit by bit, the refurbished areas of this hotel are lovely. The bedrooms are a little dated but they’re clean and the beds are extremely comfortable. The hotel was just as we expected it to be, judging from the photos you can clearly see it’s a working progress. Would definitely stay here again and will be recommending to friends for a meal and an overnight stay. We will be back shortly with friends for another meal, looking forward to it. Forgot to mention - I’m a gin drinker and what a selection of gins!!!

We had a lovely stay, amazing breakfast. Staff were absolutely incredible and went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

I found this small hotel by chance when looking for somewhere to stay whilst visiting my daughter . This was the nicest of stays , the family who own it are so lovely . They are renovating the hotel and all works so far have been done really well in a lovely contemporary country style . The food was good and they have a great gin collection ! I will be staying here regularly now that I have found this wee gem .
