Student Roost - Newcastle 1

Newcastle1 is a great place to live! It's really close to town and central station. All of the facilities are great and the flats and bedrooms are super modern, with lots of storage space. The gym, common room, study rooms, and communal kitchen, plus all of the events held here for us, make the experience of living here even better. However, I think the best thing about Newcastle1 would have to be all of the staff. They're always friendly, chatty and helpful, and you can tell that they really care about their students.

It is one of the best accommodations I've tried so far. An artfully decorated place with very friendly and helpful staff. If you book through IH, it would cost more and all stuff in your room would be provided by IH but the minimum duration of stay would be 1 week. But if you book directly (which is better) then it costs less but the minimum stay is about 2 months. Highly recommended.

This was the best student accommodation I've lived in so far! The rooms are very nice and have everything you need. I managed to decorate mine (especially the desk area where there is a corkboard) and this really made it feel more like home.The cinema room, gym and other recreational spaces were a very nice touch. They are the perfect place to hang out with friends when you don't fancy going outdoors.The staff is very friendly and there's someone 24/7 at reception to help you sort out any problems. This made me feel safe. I also liked to chat with the staff and had no issue approaching them about any issues, be it repairs or just people being too noisy during the night.It was a pleasure living there and I made some good friends! I was lucky enough to get matched with some awesome flatmates because I booked early. The staff certainly do their best to make sure everyone feels comfortable.

Walked past and saw the table tennis tables so went in. Had the place to ourselves for a few hours and played a few games between the group of us. There is also a jenga set that made the experience even better. Unfortunately both the guitars have no strings which was a shame, the vending machine was also overpriced. Was a very fun time and definitely will return if in the area. Can’t comment on what it’s like to live here.

Great place in the common room. Played some table tennis and some Jenga, not stayed there so no idea if it's a nice place to stay. Washing machines looked new and good to use for everyone. Unsure on prices. Vending machine was a bit pricey however.

Stayed in a Bronze studio for the year 2021-2022. Overall, it was a great experience

The only issue that I faced was the bad attitude of some of the staff members which was not fine by me. I believe that there is always a nice way of speaking any thing and also that one cannot run business by taunting their customers. The place is fine, no issues with the accomodation’s infrastructure and facilities. The staff was the problem for me.

This company is a joke. They think they can invite you for a group assessment taking up 2 hours of your time pre interview- only for it to be an ice breaker" session for about 50 people? Disrespectful.Questions were:What is your name?What attracted you to the job?What makes you happy?2 truths and a lie....Absolute joke.People were not informed they needed a full driving license too wasting their time(not myself but other sitting around me).People who were sit further away from the front werent given a fair chance to speak or even given any notice to be honest.It was more like men having a laugh about football in a pub!How did somebody conclude who to invite to an interview based on this? Who can shout the loudest and get the most attention?I know the venue was college but there was no need to be putting people through activities of a school leaver!Waste of time.The reviews on indeed were bad too but i thought id go along and see what it was all about and give it a go...Good luck to the people who got theough to the interview stage!"
