Like most towns in England, Burgess Hill has a memorial to those who died in the two World Wars. This memorial garden features a tall stone pillar, which is surmounted by a striking bronze figure of St. George. A nice touch is a small stone in an adjacent flower bed dedicated to the horses, dogs, and pigeons who also served and died in the wars.
