We had heard mixed reviews about this place, but we decided to take a chance and treat ourselves. Upon arrival, we were met by a visibly frustrated hostess who then passed us off to an equally unwelcoming and frustrated waitress. The waitress had no knowledge of the menu and couldn't recommend any dishes.We opted for the 50oz sharer, but there were some confusion and difficulties when we wanted to add other items from the menu (and pay for).To avoid food waste, we mentioned that we didn't like tomatoes, mushrooms, or onion rings. However, this seemed to confuse the waitress even more, and she never returned to our table for the entire evening, leaving us without any wait staff assistance.The 50oz steak, which arrived slightly seared and unseasoned, was placed on a small side plate, hanging over its edges, and was unceremoniously dumped on our table. Hot stones were placed on the table, and we were left to figure it out ourselves. We had no cutlery, plates, or any indication that it was a cook your own" experience. Trying to locate cutlery and plates took a considerable amount of time. I wish I hadn’t bothered with the mismatched Poundland cutlery. Unfortunately

Every time I have been there the food, the service and atmosphere has been excellent. Well worth a visit. They have a number of challenges, which I intent to attempt.

One of the best places I’ve been for food for a very long time. Absolutely great staff who were very funny and welcoming, drinks were prompt, the main was unbelievable and dessert was huge. No complaints from anyone on the table.Would go again in a heart beat, thank you for the great food and experience!

Visited twice during a week getaway in Torquay (we stayed at Devon Hills)Absolutely fantastic food, incredible service, warm and welcoming.Considering visiting for sunday carvery. only a 3hr drive away.

Cattlemans Steakhouse at The Parkers Arms
Booked a meal here for my daughters birthday on the 28th of November 2023. What can I say, a superb meal and great service from everyone. Even had happy birthday sung to my daughter. I had the 8 oz rib eye steak and sides and i was full at the end!! I don't know how the people manage to finish the challenges. Would definitely recommend!!

Amazing food and great experience. Theme is definitely fitting to the name with cowboy hats scattered around the place with a rustic and homely feel to it. Friendly staff and steaks were seasoned to perfection.A pricier meal but worth the cost if you truly enjoy your steaks.Parking is plenty but can be difficult when busy as soon fills up quicker. Bear this in mind if you're travelling a fair distance and plan accordingly

Popped in for dinner and wowI have eaten at similar in London but never with a lava rock, that thing does not cool down for ages which means I was able to consistently cook my pieces of steak to perfection. Everything you see on the plate is included in the price and you definitely get a BANG FOR YOUR BUCK.Staff are friendly make sure you are happy and check if you have any allergies or questions before you even sit down.If you find yourself anywhere near the torbay area and you like your steaks come pay them a visit

Eaten here many times, and booked in to eat again next week! Best steaks ever! Lovely carvery on Sunday! The salads not bad either! :) Staff are fab, welcoming and friendly. One on my absolute fave restaurants and have recommended to friends who have been and loved it too!

Cattlemans Steakhouse at The Parkers Arms
Absolutely smashing!We were on summer holiday at a local campsite and visited this place as a treat for my birthday.Really nice place well laid out and friendly welcoming team.Service was prompt and faultless and the food arrived remarkably quickly.Absolutely delicious... And good sized portions too. Really happy - will definitely return if I am ever in the area again!
