A total life changer! Thank you so much for restoring the health of Pixie's ears. I now have a happy dog who wags her tail pretty much all day instead of an anxious pup who constantly shakes her head.

David is an amazing specialist who restored our dog’s quality of life after seven years of misery. She had suffered and had dozens of vets visits from the age of two. She is now nine and happy. We cannot thank him and his team enough.Mollie’s allergy list ran over two pages of A4 but the biggest problem was her yeasty ears, which she would scratch until they bled if we didn’t watch her constantly. Two resultant MRSP flora spread across her whole body and it was so distressing for her. David had everything stabilised in less than six months.We changed vets from V for Ps, who insisted that Apoquel was THE ONLY course of treatment she required and after four years of skin scrapes, blood tests and numerous doses of antibiotics he prescribed the Apoquel as the only course of treatment remaining. But after paying for two large cysts to be removed and her body constantly erupting in new ones we questioned what else could be done. Stay on the Apoquel insisted V for Ps, that’s a the only thing that will work. Her scratching continued and her ear canal swelled to the point the vet couldn’t get the otoscope in. Another course of drugs to open it. We were visiting the vet four or more times a year for the same allergy and cyst issues. Apoquel was clearly not working but it seemed a real money maker for the vet.We changed to the wonderful Minster Vets of Southwell who took very little time in referring Mollie to David for what might have to be a a total ear canal ablation. Luckily this was not necessary.Thanks to David we now have a happy dog who only requires an ear spray and regular shampoo and has two intact ear canals. Thank you for your dedication.

After numerous years of a recurring yeast ear infection in our Labradoodle, and after trying every medicine and remedy under the sun, we got to the point that our general practice vet was recommending ear surgery. I was desperate to see someone who could help and advise, and David was brilliant at seeing us as quickly as he could - we were first through the door of the new surgery! David did a really thorough job of diagnosing the issue and after a couple of deep ear cleans, the infection has stayed away and Merlin is back to his usual happy self! We are so delighted that Merlin is pain free and wish we'd made the decision to see David so much earlier. He kept me well informed, involving me fully in the diagnostic and treatment process with all the right equipment to do this. Highly recommend and can't thank him enough!

As a GP I realised that through no fault of their own, our local vet could not deal with the ear problem that our pointer 'Thor' had. We felt it our obligation to find the best treatment that we could and we found that with David Bentley who knew exactly what to do in providing expert treatment, on-going care and follow up!Although over 70 miles from home we feel that it has all been worthwhile. David is on the phone if we need him and even opens his surgery early so that we can get back home to resume our usual day as quickly as possible.Totally professional with the latest equipment and well researched and up to date evidence based care. My now 10,5 yo Irish Setter Mia had TECA LBO performed by Dr David Bentley in September 2021. It has been my best decision – to travel all this way from London and trust Mia’s care to Dr Bentley. I could not believe seeing Mia happily running and eating less than 24h after her operation. She’s had no post-operation symptoms whatsoever – no balance issues, no neuralgic pain, no stitches around her eyelid due to the nerve damage, and no restriction in mouth opening or chewing - all this she had sadly experienced previously in 2020 after the same operation on her other ear done at RCVS. After the operation at Dermvet, Mia didn't even have to wear a protective collar - the stitches did not bother her at all. A year and a half since, now in 2023, we still had not a single problem with the ear operated by Dr Bentley, whilst the previous one is periodically causing us some concern. Once more I am convinced: it is not the name of the institution which guarantees a successful outcome, but the professionalism of the specialist, and Dr Bentley is the best of the best. I wish I would have come across the Dermvet clinic from the outset of Mia's problems. Highest standards of care and genuine consideration to give the most comprehensive information to a concerned owner. Wholeheartedly thank you for having us. RCVS should invite Dr Bentley to run some workshops for them.

Finding Dave at Dermvet was a god send for our Border Terrier, Benji. Benji had suffered since birth with ear infections. These had been continuously treated unsuccessfully by our own vet. Continuous treatment was effecting Benji's personality and treatment was becoming more difficulty with each fresh infection. Over the last year Dave has successful treated Benji, with steroid ear spray and immunotherapy and has now been clear of ear infections for six months. We finally have our pet Benji back to his normal self and more importantly his quality of life has improved immensely. If you have a pet suffering and are unable to get satisfaction at your own vet then please do not hesitate in contacting Dermvet. Can't thank Dermvet enough for my German Shepherds treatment, after months of suffering with her ears and going back and fourth to our vets, no treatment was working. After two months of treatment with Dermvet my German Shepherds ears are now healed, she is 11 years old and before treatment with Dermvet she was fatigued and not the same as she used to be. Following treatment, she is like a different dog, wanting to go out on walks again and back to her happy self. David is fantastic and very knowledgeable and Becky is so kind and compassionate, wish I had gone to them sooner. Highly recommend!

CAN'T THANK THE TEAM ENOUGH!!! EXCELLENT, COMPASSIONATE SERVICE, EXPERTS IN THEIR FIELD!!Our gorgeous, gentle American Bulldog Spike had been rubbing his ears on and off for about a month, we treated at home but the problem wasn't going away. He was clearly very uncomfortable even though there were no real outward signs to indicate what the problem was. As soon as we saw David Bentley he knew immediately that Spike was suffering with severe chronic otitis caused by allergies. David advised that Spike would need a general anaesthetic so that he could put a camera into the ear canal to find out how bad the otitis was.The news was not good. David feared Spike would need complete ear canal removal as the swelling was so bad inside Spike ears. However, David offered an alternative treatment first in the hope that Spike's condition could be improved and managed.David gave us some liquids and steroids and strict instructions to massage the liquid into the ear canal for 5 minutes twice a day. We even set a timer to make sure we did it for long enough. Spike had a follow up appointment for a second camera to check to see if any improvement had been made.Nothing short of miraculous" I think David's exact words were.... Spike had made a near complete recovery! We must keep up with the treatment and have regular check ups for a couple more months
