Fantastic hotel, the staff on reception and at breakfast were so helpful and welcoming. The room was so clean and smelt fresh, bathroom was amazing! Excellent location and lovely breakfast. Couldn't have asked for more from a hotel and an ideal place to stay when visiting to watch a show at The Theatre Royal. Thank you!

Beautiful hotel. Amazing showers, clean rooms , lovely touches and good facilities. Fantastic location, 2 minute walk to the coast and a 2 minute walk to the city centre. Nice location plenty of greenery. The manageress on reception is so welcoming and helpful, happy to help out and make your stay enjoyable and pleasant. Definitely recommend this hotel

Very good location,Room clean and very big, with a small bathroom but that has everything.I really recommend the choose the breakfast incluse.. the food is amazing, you can have different kind of cook breakfast, plus there is a buffet with a bit of everything.Receptionist very helpful, one of the best stay!

This was a delightful surprise as we'd expected an old-fashioned place but were very happy to find that the hotel has been upgraded and refurbished to a very high standard. Our room was huge with a massive bed which was so comfortable, and everything needed to make for a good stay. The bathroom was spotlessly clean, very modern and very stylish. Breakfast was tasty, freshly made to order and a good variety.The staff were lovely and so helpful, we really enjoyed our stay. The only issue was parking, we managed to get a space on arrival but when we got back from a day out the next day all the spaces were taken so we ended up having to park several streets away which was pricey and not convenient for trailing luggage. Apart from that though we had a perfect stay.

Warm welcome received from receptionist when checking in, in fact all the staff are very friendly. Spotless room/bathroom - very comfy bed. Fantastic freshly cooked breakfast, piping hot. Absolutely recommend and wouldn't hesitate to return.

Great place to stay and sleep! Fed up with staying at the premier inns and not sleeping due to poor room ventilation, far too stuffy and noisey, we gave the Drake hotel a try for two nights. Slept well, breakfast was good, parking was easy, staff are friendly, and the location is better than the premier inns - all for less money. Highly recommended.
