Rock 'n' Roll Tattoo

This would be 0 stars if I could do that. I ordered and paid for a tattoo during a special lockdown walk in" online day in May 2020. When we got out of lockdown and I tried to book I was told the studio was closed for refurb and they'd let me know when things reopened. They never did. I finally spoke to someone and got booked in with a different artist to the one I was meant to have

I really do not recommend going to Rock n Roll in Dundee, very unreliable and unprofessional studio. I had heard rumours before that they weren't professional, the artists didn't care enough etc etc, but I thought it was just that... rumours.I initially had a tattoo booked with one of the Dundee studio artists, which then got moved forward because an artist had come to Dundee from the Musselburgh studio for a day and his client cancelled. I was told he was very skilled in the type of design I wanted and so I agreed (maybe my fault for not looking up his portfolio? Regardless, they are 'professionals,' so I trusted their judgement).Even though I had to wait for around an hour to be seen to, the initial design was great, I loved it but as the tattoo healed over the next couple weeks I could see many flaws with it (dodgy shading, track lines which haven't faded and scratchy lining). It took me around 5 email attempts and an enquiry form to actually get a response from them about this issue.Even though I am Dundee based and my tattoo was done in a Dundee studio, I was still expected to travel to Musselburgh to have my tattoo fixed by the original artist using my own expenses to book travel (for a nearly four hour round trip on the train as I don't drive). I phoned the head office to see if this could be changed, or if the artist could travel to Dundee but I was told it wasn't an option... you want your tattoo fixed

Would give zero stars if I could. Booked a tattoo at this place prior to lockdown and paid a £50 deposit. The artist I booked with then left the studio. I tried to obtain a refund for my deposit as I could no longer get the tattoo I wanted due to no fault of my own. Instead I was encouraged to book with a different artist and then straight ignored by the studio. It’s over a year later and I have still had zero response from the studio and been fobbed off numerous times. This company has zero respect for their customers and is only interested in stealing their money. Unprofessional. Go elsewhere.

Although I had to wait an hour before getting my tattoo done I had a good experience with Boris. He’s done a really good job on the tattoo. The studio was very clean and the staff made me feel very comfortable. Boris also throughly explained how to take good care of the tattoo.

About 2 years ago I booked a tattoo for December 2020. They failed to let me know the artist had left the country. I was at their door for 2 hours. No one was inside. No answer on the phone. Finally someone called me when I sent an email demanding a refund. Was booked for Musselburgh at a later date. Due to my work schedule I tried changing that appointment back to Dundee or at another date. No artist. No other date available. Guess what? I lost the deposit...

Horrendous! Awful service and even worse contact facilities. I would give 0 stars if I could.I initially booked for a tattoo and paid £500 up front which was the total cost.On my first appointment I was finally greeted by my artist who was 40 minutes late. His attitude was stinking and he clearly didn’t want to be there.His sketch was nothing like what I requested and I asked him to make a very minor edit to which he was angry about. He then refused and sent me home to reschedule my appointment despite having a full day session. I tried to contact head office who didn’t answer the phone. I left an email which was ignored.I was then automatically rescheduled an appointment via a non contactable text message service. I thought I’d not hold the grudge and went with the flow. An hour prior to my new appointment I received a text from my artist saying the they had ‘printer issues’ so asked if I could come in a bit later on to which I agreed. Five minutes before my new appointment time I received a further text saying that he was stuck in Glasgow and couldn’t make my appointment. Clearly the printer scenario was a lie.He apologised and provided me with another appointment date. At this point I was highly frustrated as I felt like I was getting messed about. I took time off of my work for each appointment which were all a failure on the company’s behalf.Finally my appointment date came around again. I attended at the Dundee shop as per my arranged time and date. I was greeted by staff who asked who I was in to see. I said the name Cammy to which they said ‘Oh Cammy isn’t due to work here today’.There was a ‘breakdown in communication’ so I was sent home with an apology. Yet another failing yet another waste of time. At this time I stated that I had lost trust in the company and requested for my money back. Staff said that they would contact the manager who was not in store to inform him.It has now been 3 months and I have sent various emails and called the Dundee and Glasgow store a total of 10 times. I’m still in the same position. They have my £500.I spoke with staff who work the phones and they all continue to say ‘I’ll pass this information to the manager who will get back to you’.I have received no effort from the company and have no choice but to take legal action as a result of the ignorance.In my opinion they don’t care about the service they provide or the customer.AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

0 stars if I could.Pricing? ShockingWaiting times? ShockingBeing cancelled MULTIPLE times? ShockingStaff attitude? ShockingPlace is still open? Now that’s shocking

The guys in the shop were really professional and put me at ease the whole time. This was my first tattoo here and Andy was really lovely. He did a good job of keeping me distracted, and calm whilst pulling off a beautiful tattoo. I was really awkward with what I wanted too but I am really happy with what he came up with and it suits the space well. And he handled me being indecisive professionally.

I had a tattoo done with Ellie in Dundee and my goodness I can not explain how happy I was from start to finish! She is an incredible tattoo artist, so professional but also so easy to be around. She made adjustments to my tattoo to make sure I was 100% happy and even came in on her day off! Best tattoo experience to date and I will definitely be returning in the near future!

Had my 3rd tattoo done by rock and roll. The artist again was amazing. No issues. However, paid for a day session. I received half a day. Artist said ill get a discount on my next tattoo. Not heard anything from this. Also, My tattoo healed with a damaged part. I do not know if this was due to the healing process or overworking my skin. I have emailed they apologized and asked for a photo. I sent the photo... No reply. I have emailed another 2  times over the 2 months and got no reply. I have a damaged tattoo and haven't heard anything. Artist was good but had terrible customers services. I am very upset and annoyed I am left with something damaged on my skin and rock and roll doesn't care enough to reply.
