We had Ajay come to photograph our wedding in June 2022 and she was incredible, we had an engagement shoot beforehand to meet and get to know each other before the big day too. Ajay makes you feel so relaxed and comfortable, which makes everything else so easy! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for memories we can look back on forever ♥️

Well...Ajay is just amazing! She is more than willing to go above and beyond, not only to capture great pictures but to help with anything and everything. AJay did our engagement shoot (and will be doing our wedding next year). She was great to work with and clearly knew what she was doing, which was great because we are not the most comfortable in front of a camera. We just got our photos back and they are gorgeous! The colours are so vibrant and she not only captured us well but also our dog and cat. Highly recommend!

If you're wondering whether to book AJay as your photographer, don't wonder and book her! She photographed our wedding back in June and was absolutely amazing. She got back to us promptly beforehand answering any questions we had and explained everything exactly. On the day she was so friendly and made me feel so relaxed with the photos, organising everyone so I didn't need to worry about that. she took our suggestions for the photos we wanted and had even more suggestions herself to make sure we got so many stunning photos. AJay was the best photographer we could have ever wished for!!! She is incredibly friendly and welcoming and made us feel so comfortable whilst taking photos which is amazing as my husband can be quite shy. She constantly checking that we were okay and had what we needed and wanted and was amazingly patient when we needed a drink break. The best thing was that she was amazing at controlling the big crowd of people and my rowdy family for the group photos in a polite and friendly way that made everyone feel and look happy and relaxed in the photos. The photos we recieved were fabulous and better then we could have imagined they captured our special day so well and also captured the love and laughs between me and my husband beautifully. We can tell alot of effort was put into our photos and we couldn't be happier with the results. She even managed to capture lots of beautiful images of the children which will be chersied forever. I genuinely cannot thank AJay enough for the experience we had with her as a wedding photographer. From the very first moment of contact up until delivering our gallery to us she kind, professional, talented and an all around pleasure to work with.Our wedding was a very non traditional affair, none of what we wanted quite fit into any of the BlueJay packages so instead with the help of a very relaxed and informative phonecall we set up what we needed from her in a bespoke package.One of the biggest things I commend AJay for is her inclusivity. I knew from seeing on her website that she aligned with our values as LGBTQ+ brides, but her ability to make us feel safe and secure in not just having her around but also what she would post about our wedding day on her social media really went above and beyond. It meant the world to us and I honestly cannot thank her enough.I also want to note her talent in catching candid photos. We did not want staged photos as my wife finds the act of staging herself very stressful and inauthentic. Instead AJay caught her natural beauty and the love between us in the most stunning candid shots, which never felt forced or uncomfortable and are edited in an extremely beautiful and professional way. There are so many pictures in our gallery I wasn't even aware were being taken and that makes them even more magical.Thank you so much again AJay for your work, we appreciate your talent and we are so glad we chose you to capture our day. We first reached out to AJay around a year and a half ago when we first got engaged. She was friendly and informative and immediately made me feel comfortable talking to her. After looking through her work on her website and Instagram page and finding beautiful examples, we decided to book her. We were able to get a specialised plan that was tailored to us, meaning we didn't have to compromise on missing parts of the day. The process was quick and easy as AJay's communication was fantastic.We booked an engagement shoot with AJay a year before our wedding and had a fantastic experience. She suggested a beautiful location that was linked with Lord of the Rings, which she knew was an interest of ours through our previous conversations. I was nervous for the experience but she was calm and encouraging, offering gentle suggestions of poses and we soon began to enjoy ourselves. She even climbed into a stream for a good shot - definitely going the extra mile! She produced a beautiful gallery of photos for us with a really quick turn around. It gave us even more confidence that she was the perfect choice for our wedding day.On the wedding day, AJay already felt like a friend. It felt like she took a real interest in our wedding day, us as a couple, and what we wanted from our day. She contacted us beforehand about photo lists and helped me work through logistics. She was more than happy to add additional group photos on the day and was not shy when it came to getting people involved. She checked in with us throughout our bride and groom to make sure that we were happy and comfortable to continue. She has an amazing eye for framing the images and the areas she chose were stunning. She let us be our natural selves with the occasional suggestion for poses. She worked extremely well with our videographer with many people commenting that they thought they were from the same company, due to their great teamwork.AJay posted some sneak peeks on her Instagram following the day which kept us excited and eager to see the results. We received our gallery within the 6 weeks and were blown away by them. The images are beautiful - the perfect mix of us, our guests and the decor details. There are many shots that I didn't realise were being taken, which is a testament to how well AJay can do her job without making you feel on the spot. She has captured the day beautifully and we can really see the love of the day. It was like reliving it all over again. She has produced beautiful images (even though I'm sure we made it difficult by laughing through at least 80% of the process) which we will be proud to hang on the wall.A friend of mine has already been convinced to book her based on her work at our wedding! If you are looking for a photographer who is a calming influence, a genuinely sweet and lovely person, who will deliver fabulous photos, I would definitely recommend Blue Jay Photography.
