Now retired and ready to give a dog a loving family home. Did not find the experience good. Customer relations doesn’t seem to exist in this establishment. Only advice given is to keep Looking on website and fill out form!! I did not find the staff engaging at all. Will not visit again.

Recently adopted a very nervous dog from the Glasgow centre, it took lots of visits but with the help of the staff he grew close to us and is now snuggled up on the sofa. Staff are all fantastic and do a great job looking after and training the dogs, I wouldn’t get a dog from anywhere else now.

Great place of looking to adopt. Great staff, very helpful and very experienced. Started to run classes to help with animal behavioural problems. Took my dog to the classes as he was very timid and very defensive. After it was finished my dogs behaviour had improved and the classes had shown how to reassure him and how to build on it when the classes finished. 2 months after the classes finished and using the techniques that had taught me and my dog now walks easily on the lead without pulling as well as having great recall and a lot better social behaviour towards other dogs. Definitely worth the money.

Just bad.Staff have very little knowledge about breeds and refer to larger dogs as dangerous or high risk. InOwned 2 akita's was looking for a family dog but having experience a garden (with the 6ft fence isn't good enough) every dog we were interested in was a straight no. Kennels not cleaned enough for my opinion. Will not donate to dogs Trust anymore and advise others not to.

I had to make the absolutely heart breaking decision to rehome my beloved pooch, as my life had changed dramatically. Obviously, never thinking I'd ever have to live without her, I wanted her to go to a place where they are as thorough taking your pet, as they are in finding them a suitable home. I can't thank the staff enough for all their help and kindness, fron the initial consultation, to the testing, and handing over, they were all so lovely. I was in absolute bits, and they were so good. I just know, as hard as it was, I made the best decision for me and my dear dog. I was able to call and check up on her, which I did, and everyone I spoke to the few times I did call, were so friendly and always assured me it was okay to keep calling. I know that she'll be given to someone that loves her as much as me, and that she'll give them as much joy for the latter part if her life, as she gave me these past 7 years. If you find yourself in a similar awful decision, I'd recommend The Dogs Trust. ♥️

Applied for two dogs, got phone call on both, both dogs found homes, 3 weeks later same dogs back up for adoption, vetting owners isn’t to great. I Would never return a dog, but now given up, which breaks my heart as I know I could give dog great life

Recently adopted a puppy from the Glasgow Centre & have had a wonderful experience. Have been kept informed, updated & supported at all stages and continue to receive support if required. Staff are lovely and well informed and the centre is pristine.

The place is pristine, beautifully designed to care for the dogs in their care. It is important to bear in mind that the well being of their dogs is foremost in their minds. There is nothing they love best than to pass on their dogs to caring families / individuals. What they don't want is for stressed out dogs to be returned because they were more than than the family could handle. To this end when we approach the centre we are vetted and assessed for suitability this includes writing a resume of our experience with dogs. I found the staff to be knowledable and very caring for the canines in their charge. Can not rate their professionalism or compassion highly enough.

Dogs trust west Calder- can't fault them have had 3 wonderful dogs from there with no issues at all. Dogs trust glasgow shouldnt be allowed to even have Dogs in their kennels!!! We adopted a dog 9 months ago. An older dog as it was for mum and she felt an older dog would suit her better. Picked him up, was told he could stop his medication as soon as the stuff they had given us was finished, also told there was nothing wrong with his ears or his breathing when questioned. Fast forward 2 months and the poor dog is in the vet with a perforated ear drum due to an untreated ear infection that the vet said had to have been there well before we got him. Mum also had to keep forking out for more medication as our vet told us we couldn't stop his medicine - ever!!! And today we are told he has a massive tumour in his chest that is compressing his wind pipe (which was probably the breathing issues we noticed last December!!!) And we're having to have him euthanized on Saturday morning. I now have an absolutely devastated mother who fell in love with a dog that she's only had to love for 9 months!!!! They mustve known how ill this dog was and as our vet has said seen my mother coming a mile off" absolutely disgusting service. Will NEVER USE DOGS TRUST GLASGOW EVER AGAIN!!!!!!"
