Been going here for a long while but just recently the food has been going downhill. Its had loads of garlic in so we've not been sble to eat it and then tonight we've had part of the order missing and special fried rice that looked like normal rice. Won't be going back again.

Our go to for Chinese! love the food from here. Never had a bad meal. always very hot and tasty. My son loves to come pickup with me as he gets a lolly every time! so win win for him!

Had fantastic huge family celebration meal from Empire House last night, which was a Sunday. 20+ main dishes with plenty of rice,chowmein as well, all cooked within 40 minutes of ordering and all piping hot and delicious when we got home. Can't thank you enough for such terrific service!

I waited almost 40 minutes at the counter - from 6.47pm until 7.25pm - for my food. I asked after 30 minutes where it was only to find most of it had sitting on the kitchen hatch shelf for 10-15 minutes! Then when bagging it up, it turns out they hadn't cooked all my order hence my delay. It's all very well apologising but it didn't do me any favours being diabetic, taking my pre-medication prior to eating and then having to wait so long to actually eat - not ideal! I've used Empire House quite a few times in the past with few problems but, after this disaster, I'll not be ordering from here anymore!!

I've ordered pretty much everything from the menu now and I've never had a bad meal. Good Covid restrictions in place inside the takeaway as well. The food is always cooked fresh and they are so fast. A family order usually takes around ten minutes. I highly recommend the salt and chilli wings.

This Chinese is a gem..! Service is so quick and portions are so generous. Food is very tasty , especially the deep fried shredded beef, it was still crispy when I got home and thats rare as other places were really soggy. Bbq Spare ribs were soft and yummy, smoked chicken was banging.! I’ve tried the majority of the dishes here and must say , not at all disappointed as I am Chinese myself, so know if they are cooking proper Chinese food.

Best Chinese in Witham by far! Great value, delivered in less than 30 minutes by a friendly face and the food was very tasty will definitely order again!

Wonderful takeaway place. I called for a collection (they don't deliver), by the time I had popped into a shop for drinks and drove to the Empire House my order was being packed up (15mins after my call).Great service, good food which tastes fresh. The lady taking the orders and greets you is lovely. Full of smiles and very helpful.
