Stourbridge Lawn Tennis and Squash Club

Don’t pay up front for anything. They made me pay weeks in advance for a 4 week tennis course as they told me it was getting full. It got to the start date and I was contacted saying it was postponed because nobody else had booked on it. Then when it did start up, I had was ill which turned out to be covid and now have post covid inflammation, so I can’t exercise and won’t be able to for months. Haven’t used the club once and they won’t give me my money back, they ignore calls and emails. I gave 2 stars purely because the young lady who works on reception is very friendly and helpful, can’t comment on facilities as haven’t used them.

I have been a member for 22 years. Its amazing and has grown considerably. Very friendly, lots of opportunity to play tennis, squash and racket ball and a very well equipped gym. The gym is overseen by professionals. There are professional coaches for all sports. The social side is varied and extremely friendly. There are quizzes, a regular bridge club and both yoga and pilates class. The sauna and shower facilities are spotless.

Been a member for 22 years. By and large been ok up until this year. Facilities are good. Paid staff are helpful and friendly. The problem lies with the self appointed pompous committee members who rule over the members. As a loyal member, having paid my membership in full during lockdown to ensure club survived, and after various rule changes and injury, my repeated polite request for a refund was refused by said committee. My loyalty counted for nothing. Fees, incidently, are considerably higher than other local clubs. Having joined the other tennis club in Stourbridge, I find them cheaper, friendlier. Committee members open to change and welcome feedback.

I have been a member for 10 years and now lucky enough to work here. Very friendly atmosphere, social events, incredible coaches across all courts, super friendly staff, loads of junior and school opportunities!!!! Many leagues and teams.. come on down and see for yourself!

First time back after 5 years it was my 2nd home for 35 years

I've enjoyed both fun and competitive racket sports here for many years, since my children were young enough to use the crèche: I'm now ready to take my grandchildren along!There are also great yoga and Pilates sessions, and I have recently started using the fantastic gym too. (Great view).It's a friendly, welcoming and sociable place.

Great courts and people. Staff very helpful and drinks very good. Must point out Max behind the bar, probably the best barman I’ve ever had the joy of speaking to. He’s an absolute stud.

Excellent facilities and staff. I attended for a private function and the everyone was welcoming and helpful with an exceptional buffet, possibly one of the best I've ever tasted.

Had a great time at this club.The facilities, especially the courts are in great condition and it is obvious the Club is investing in mataining and improving their Club.Unfortunately, the male toilets could do with maintenance and it was disappointing two of the cubicles had no toilet paper. Essential to check before entering!The showers were very good and the food was more than adequate in quantity and flavour.
